If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed |
"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed" (John 8:31).
"Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine.
Continue in them, for in doing this thou shalt both
save thyself, and them that hear thee"
(1 Timothy 4:16).
"They continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine"
(Acts 2:42).
"Let that therefore abide in you which ye have heard
from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from
the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall
continue in the Son, and in the Father"
(1 John 2:24).
"Little children, it is the last time, and as ye
have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are
there many antichrists, whereby we know that it is
the last time. They went out from us, but they were
not of us, for if they had been of us, they would
no doubt have continued with us; but they went out,
that they might be made manifest that they were not
all of us" (1 John 2:18-19).
---
"To them who by patient continuance in well doing
seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal
life" (Romans 2:7).
"To present you holy and unblameable and
unreproveable in his sight, if ye continue in the
faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away
from the hope of the gospel" (Colossians 1:22-23).
"Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God,
on them which fell, severity, but toward thee,
goodness, if thou continue in his goodness,
otherwise thou also shalt be cut off" (Romans 11:22).
---
"Exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that
we must through much tribulation enter into the
kingdom of God" (Acts 14:22).
"Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face
continually" (1 Chronicles 16:11).
"Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation,
continuing instant in prayer" (Romans 12:12).
"Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may
continually resort" (Psalms 71:3).

"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed" (John 8:31).
And here are a few examples of the words that the disciples must continue in...
Jesus in Matt 5:29-30: And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast
[it] from thee...And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it]
from thee
Jesus in Luk 14:26: If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and
mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life
also, he cannot be my disciple.
Jesus in Mat 5:42: Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow
of thee turn not thou away.
Jesus in Mar 16:18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly
thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall
recover.
1Cr 11:14: Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair,
it is a shame unto him?
1Jo 5:18: We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;
