Object: Important Concept for every Christian to Grasp
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that
by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped
the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:4
Some people distort the doctrine that when a man is saved he is always
saved. They get the idea that if that is true, then they will sin all
they want to. Friend, I sin all I want to. I don’t want to! If the
only thing that keeps you from sinning is fear of losing your
salvation, I wonder if you have really surrendered yourself to God and
asked Him to save you. Peter tells us that we have become partakers of
the divine nature. Does that mean that you don’t sin any more? No.
Before I was saved, I was running to sin. Now, I’m running from it. I
may slip, but I’m saved. I have a desire to live pure and clean to the
glory of God.

I am glad you brought this up. God also said:
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which
according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively
hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:4
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not
away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:20
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but
was manifest in these last times for you,
1 Peter 1:21
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and
gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the
Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one
another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by
the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
When a person confesses Jesus as Lord and believes in his heart that
God raised Jesus from the dead, that person is saved. The person
becomes a child of God, both by seed and adoption. The person is born
again of incorruptible seed. A child is the fruit of the seed of his
natural father and that can not be changed. The child or parent can
deny the but they are stuck with each other. So it is with those who
are born of God. God is Holy and Spirit. Therefore the incorruptible
seed that He puts in the child is holy and spirit, a little piece of
God just as a child receives a little piece of their father when they
are conceived. The incorruptible holy spirit seed put into a person
is also eternal life. Eternal life is that life which if expressed
geometrically would be a line drawn from a point to an infinite point
into the future. If a break would occur at any point in that line it
would not be eternal. In other words - once saved always saved.
How many people have been turned away from God and the life that He
would have them to enjoy because they were taught that if they did
this or they did that that they would lose their eternal life?
How many people turn away from accepting Christ because they "think"
that they have to be "good enough" to be saved; or, don't want to get
saved yet because they still got some sinning to do?
Sin is relative, but the consequences are not. The Bible says that
all unrighteousness is sin. Degree of sin is in society. Some people
think that their gluttony is a small sin compared to the sin of
homosexuality and condemn the homosexual when in truth both forms of
sin have the same root cause. The consequences may be different
because the glutton may become obese and die of a heart attack while
the homosexual may get aids and die of pneumonia.
Of late it has really been on my heart to get people back to the
basics, to call Christians back to the Word, to get Christians to stop
fighting amongst themselves. The church, the body of Christ, is
always one in the spirit because the spirit is of God and is perfect
in all respects. Unity, then, must come in the minds and hearts of
beleivers and the only way that that can happen is when they begin to
"speak the same thing."
1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions
among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind
and in the same judgment.
To speak the same things we need to think the same things. Hopefully,
believers can start finding more things that they agree upon and pay
less attention to what they do not agree on.

Guns don't kill people. Not getting saved kills people.
Guns don't kill people. Not knowing the Word get's people killed.
Guns don't kill people. Satan kills people.

You hit the nail right on the head!
Salvations isn't about not sinning. It's about loving Jesus so much that you
don't want to sin.
