Jesus teaching reincarnation |
I read something recently about it being possible that Jesus in fact
believed in reincarnation and his teachings were very similar to
Buddhist teachings in that each of us could find God < or Nirvana or
the Oneness, etc.>. Any thoughts on this?

It's not true. People are always making claims,
trying to make Jesus into something other than
what He was, so that they do not have to deal
with the issue of their sin before God.
Read the New Testament. You will not read words
said by Jesus, promoting any such things.

vs 15 shows that some thought of reincarnation...
Mar 6:14 And king Herod heard of Him (for His name had become well-known,)
and he said that John the Baptist had been raised from the dead, and
therefore mighty works operate in him.
Mar 6:15 Others said that it was Elijah. And others said that he is a
prophet, or as one of the prophets.
and Jesus verifies this same thought later, as apparently there are those
who are NOT Able to accept the idea and those which can as...
Mat 17:10 And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say
that Elijah must come first?
Mat 17:11 And answering Jesus said to them, Elijah truly shall come first
and restore all things.
Mat 17:12 But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not
know him, but have done to him whatever they desired. Likewise also the Son
of Man shall suffer from them.
Mat 17:13 Then His disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the
Baptist.
sounds like a reusing of the same soul.
It actually stood out to me in the third grade at a bible reading in the
Catholic church school I went to.
The same church that the cross being knocked off by lightning at the new
head priests first mass.
Some 20 years later he was found to be a paedophile with is missionary
collections being his own private "sex tour" money. ( I say this because the
same hunch stood out just now in rememberance. They say the Holy Spirit
reminds us)
