Jesus vs. Pastor Tom DeLay |
In recent days, criticism has unfairly rained down on House majority leader
Reverend Tom Delay for supposedly comparing himself to Jesus. As Delay put it
in his own defense, "people hate the messenger. That's why they killed Christ."
On this post-Easter Monday, it is worth noting that the similarities between
Jesus and Tom Delay are striking:

Rev. DeLay: The Hammer
J-man: Threw the moneychangers from the temple
Rev. DeLay: Threw a fundraiser for TRMPAC
J-man: Had 12 disciples
Rev. DeLay: Has a legal defense fund
J-man: Changed a Texas man's heart
Rev. DeLay: Changed Texas congressional districts
J-man: Taught self-control
Rev. DeLay: Sold pest control
J-man: Gold, frankincense and myrrh
Rev. DeLay: DDT
J-man: "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth"
Rev. DeLay: Blessed are the rich, for they shall pay no inheritance tax
J-man: Healed the sick
Rev. DeLay: Cut Medicaid
J-man: Crucified by Romans
Rev. DeLay: Crucified by Democrats and liberal media
J-man: Nailed to the cross
Rev. DeLay: Nailed by ethics violations
J-man: Rolled back the stone
Rev. DeLay: Crawled out from under a rock
J-man: Died for your sins
Rev. DeLay: Lied to save his skin
J-man: Birth was a miracle
Rev. DeLay: Survival is a miracle
J-man: Is risen
Rev. DeLay: Is going down
