King Messiah, the metaphorical "son of God", is *not* equal to his Creator |
[randy]
...Christians view this "mourning" as something future,
and not part of what Jews mourn for today. I believe
Zechariah prophesies a time of mourning for a divine
Messiah, one who seemed to have been killed by pagans
just as Josiah had been killed by pagans.
[Shmuel] Zechariah said nothing regarding your "divine
Messiah". You imposed that foreign idea into the text.
[randy]
Yes I did, but not without precedent. In Daniel 7 the
Messiah is portrayed as a "heavenly" being. In this passage
Messiah gets victory over pagan gods by the apparent defeat
of the Hebrew God.
[Shmuel] The one "like a son of Man" who comes "with
the clouds of heaven" and whom "they brought before
the Ancient of Days" and whom is given "dominion, honor,
and kingship" is *not* considered to be the Creator
(i.e. the Ancient of Days) become a man.
In the passage in Zechariah chapter 12 nothing is said
about "the apparent defeat of the Hebrew God".
_____________
[Shmuel] You had said that "Jesus had also been rejected
as a deity....when in fact he was deity". But "Jesus" was
*not* killed because anyone rejected him as being "a
deity".
And nothing he said indicated that he considered himself
to be "a deity".
[randy]
Yes he did. He said he would come down from heaven, in
similar fashion to Daniel's heavenly "son of man."...
Matthew 26:63 But Jesus was silent. And the high priest
said to him, "I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you
are the Christ, the Son of God."
64 Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you,
hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right
hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."
What I said was that the *Jews* rejected Jesus because "he
made himself equal with God." The Romans, however, had Jesus
executed out of fear of Jewish rioting and the threat that
Pilate would be implicated as part of Jesus' revolt against
Caesar.
[Shmuel] Jews never considered being "the Messiah,
the son of God" (the King of the Jews) to be someone
who is "equal with God".

Since we reject idol worship, we reject any human claim
to "equality with God". =A0 Many children of the Creator call
God their own Father. =A0But, none of us (including Yeshua)
consider ourselves to be as great as He is.
When Yehoshua` called God "Father", it was to identify God as the
Father of all spirits of all people on Earth.
In John 14:28, Yehoshua` said prior to his impending death, "If ye
loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto my Father: for
my Father is greater than I."
If they loved God, they should have rejoiced that he was soon going to
"go unto my Father" i.e. leave the flesh created by God, because
Spirit is greater than flesh, and "God is a Spirit" (John 4:24). The
Messiah, when they had observed that his flesh had died, was going to
revert to the state that he normally was, as the Holy Spirit.
The Messiah did not want them to worship him as flesh while he was in
the flesh. He taught as the Son of a Man (Son of Man) to pray in
spirit to God, the Holy Spirit who is the Father of all spirits in the
flesh.
Why did Jesus not say one word about JHVH, the supposed LORD of
Moses?
...He never mentioned JHVH.
Right again.
The Messiah said that he came in God's name (John 5:43) to manifest
(John 17:6), reveal (Matt. 11:27), glorify (John 12:28), and declare
God's name.
The Messiah said, "I have declared unto them thy name, and will
declare it" (John 17:26).
But he never once says God's name in the entire New Testament.
However, he did say "I and Father are one" (John 10:30). (The 'my'
normally in that verse is italicized and is a spurious insertion the
translators added to the text.)
Yehoshua` the Messiah says of God the Father in Heaven in John 17:4,
"I have glorified thee on the earth". He goes on to say in John 17:6,
"I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of
the world ...they have kept thy word." Yeshua` is here speaking of them
'keeping God's word' by accepting God's Name - The Word - Yehoshua`
manifested in the flesh.
In Mark 10:17-18, a person called the Messiah "Good Master", and
Yehoshua` replied, "Why callest thou me good? there is none good but
one, that is God."
This statement does NOT say, and does not mean, that he was not God.
It also does not say, and does not mean, that he was not good. =A0To ask
why they called him good when only God was good was a rhetorical
question designed to make them realize that he was God and that was
the reason why they perceived that he was good.
Some did not realize that the Messiah was God incarnate [and
apparently some still don't, as they follow the heresy he was not].
In Matt. 17:12, concerning John as Elijah returned to the Earth,
Yeshua` the Messiah says, "Elias is come already, and they knew him
not ...Likewise shall also the son of Man suffer of them."
They had not recognized Yeshua` the Messiah as God, just as the people
had not recognized John the Baptist as Elias (Greek for Elijah), who
was to incarnate prior to the Messiah (Mal. 4:5 & Luke 1:14-17) to
prepare the way of the LORD.
Rev. 22:1 says, "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear
as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb."
God and the Lamb share one throne because they are One. This
'sacrificial Lamb' is Yehoshua` the Messiah. (Rev. 21:14 refers to
"the twelve apostles of the Lamb".)
Rev. 22:3-4 says, "the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it;
and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his
name shall be in their foreheads.
"God and the Lamb" both have the same face and the same name. THEY are
somehow ONE. They both share one face and one name (and both together
are referred to as 'him' and 'his' - singular.)
There is only one name for both God and the Lamb (the Messiah) and
that forgotten name is Yehoshua` i.e. God as the Saviour.
Very nice explanation. It is like God + Lamb =3D JHV + SA =3D JHVSA.
(Where JHVSA is Jod He Vav Shin Ayin.)

The words Hoshea and Yehoshua are two different words with two
different
meanings.
Hoshea (=D7=94=D7=95=D7=A9=D7=A2) is from the Hophal form meaning: he was ca=
used to be
saved.
Yehoshua (=D7=99=D7=94=D7=95=D7=A9=D7=A2) is Y-H-V-H caused Salvation.
The prophet Hoshea (Hosea in the English versions) was a different
person than the son of Nun, and this apparently was done to
distinguish one man from the other.
The Masoretic text has always existed. That is what Masoretic text
means - it means passed down generation to generation. It happens to
be
that in the 10th Century, these texts were codified in writing with a
particular style of text pointing (Ben Asher) and punctuation
(cantillation). Meaning like this, the letters that we have, have
always existed, from the time they were written. If that is true,
then
we also have a particular way of pronunciation. This is also
connected
with the text, since you can't read it without punctuation. However,
there are different ways of representing this way of pronunciation in
the text. This was codified in the 10th Century, by what scholars
refer
to as "Masoretes". It should be pointed out that the oldest surviving
texts date back to about 2500 years ago, as part of the Dead Sea
Scroll
collection. These texts suggest that the Masoretic text is indeed an
accurate representation of the text back then. This predates the
Septuagint, the NT, Peshitta and the Targums texts.
The the vav is added onto the end of the word of Yeshayah etc. The
Divine name Y-H-V-H added on to the end makes it Y-H-V. However, this
is what is written in the actual text of Yeshayah. The reason why the
"u" sound is not pronounced is reverence for the Divine Name itself,
and
is left out of common parlance. Reading however the actual text shows
that the name Yeshayahu is in fact his real name.
There is no deception here. It is simple a hint to pronunciation.
Everyone knows that the real name is Y-H-V-H the question is how to
pronounce it. Since this depends on the tradition, this is written in
with vowel pointers. However, it should be noted, that this is only
in
printed editions of the Tanakh. The reality is that in the scrolls,
there are no punctuation pointers at all, which actually causes a
scroll
to become invalid.
In addition, more recent Hebrew versions of the Tanakh do not
ordinarily
point the Divine name. (see Artscroll Stone Tanakh/Chumash)

Btw, Strong's concordance simply tells you the source of the root, he
says nothing to support your view. In fact, it doesn't mean the same,

everywhere. An editor, if there would be one, would eliminate it

Could you supply some reasons for what you are saying other than
stating they didn't make mistakes?
This says the Septuagint predates the Masoretic Text:
"In many cases, it seems the LXX [the Septuagint] is based on a
version of the Hebrew different from the standard, Masoretic text (MT)
of the 9th c. CE. There are a number of books where the differences
between the LXX and MT are very striking. For instance:
* LXX Jeremiah is shorter than MT Jeremiah by roughly one-eighth,
and the order of its chapters is quite different.
* LXX Job is about one-sixth smaller than MT Job, and includes an
ending not extant in the Hebrew.
* Almost half of the verses in LXX Esther are not found in MT
Esther.
* LXX Exodus and MT Exodus differ in many places according to
order of verses, and inclusion / exclusion of words and material
Scholars vary as to their explanation for these differences, but in
many cases, they suggest that the LXX reflects a very early Hebrew
text no longer available to us. It is often difficult to say
categorically how much in the LXX should correct the MT, since some
books suggest more clear-cut changes to the Hebrew than others. This
may frustrate some readers who would prefer a clear-cut account of the
transmission of the Hebrew text, since close study of the LXX tends to
raise more questions than answers. Nevertheless, this much seems
certain: the MT changed over time, and the LXX is a crucial witness to
this process."

JHVH is the angel Raphael. See Genesis 18. JHVH is the biological
father of JHVSA, Jehoshua Moshiach. Mother Mary is an Archaii and the
Divine Consort of Archangel Raphael, so it is natural that they would
beget Jehoshua Moshiach, who is their only begotten Son, as He
proclaimed. JHVH is NOT the true name of the LORD, and the angel who
was worshipped as such was a fallen angel version of Raphael, who
first appeared in His true form as the biological father of JHVSA
MSJC. The one worshipped as the LORD throughout the old testament is
a fallen angel as witnessed by his behavior. He is cruel, insecure,
and afraid of being overthrown, as in his treatment of the Canaanites
and associated tribes. His prototype is the Greek God Saturn, who
swallowed his children to prevent one of them from overthrowing him.
One of them does anyhow, even as JHVSA MSJC has overthrown the false
LORD, JHVH. This is the truth about the Jewish religion.

Yes I did, but not without precedent. In Daniel 7 the
Messiah is portrayed as a "heavenly" being. In this
passage Messiah gets victory over pagan gods by the
apparent defeat of the Hebrew God.
[Shmuel] The one "like a son of Man" who comes "with

At the very least he represents deity in the passage. I
think he does represent the Creator, and as such is divine.
We can argue about that till we're blue in the face. The
fact is, this "son of man" is a celestial being.
In the passage in Zechariah chapter 12 nothing is said
about "the apparent defeat of the Hebrew God".
The whole story of Josiah's defeat is a defeat for the
Hebrew God. (Of course, we realize that God can never "stay"
defeated!)

Matthew 26:63 But Jesus was silent. And the high priest
said to him, "I adjure you by the living God, tell us if
you are the Christ, the Son of God."
64 Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you,
hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right
hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."
What I said was that the *Jews* rejected Jesus because
"he made himself equal with God." The Romans, however,
had Jesus executed out of fear of Jewish rioting and the
threat that Pilate would be implicated as part of Jesus'
revolt against Caesar.
[Shmuel] Jews never considered being "the Messiah, the
son of God" (the King of the Jews) to be someone who is
"equal with God".
The Jews accepted Jesus as a Messiah with divine powers, as
a celestial being. They rejected his "equality with God"
because they did not want this kind of divine authority
condemning them in their sins.
With all due respect, the Jews who remained Jews considered Jesus of
Nazareth a heretic who publicly repudiated his Judaism with his
heresies. We do not recognize anything divine about him.
This is what the NT record indicates....
Joh 5:18 For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more
to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also
called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Those were serious offenses in that time.

Yes, I know. But according to the NT record the masses of
Jews followed Jesus during his earthly ministry and fully
accepted his "rabbinical" status. They accepted him as a
prophet and perhaps as the "Christ." There has never been
any problem in Judaism with accepting the marks of a
prophet, the signs and wonders that confirms a person's
status as appointed representative of deity.
This is what the NT record indicates....

They were serious only if they were false. The idea of
"elohim" being associated with divinely-ordained individuals
was never a problem (as I understand it).

[Shmuel] Yeshua never claimed equality with his Creator.
But, your false and imaginary "Jesus can claim equality
with God....". The finite creature does not share an identity
with the Infinite Creator by definition except to / for the idolater.
You're ignoring the OT Scriptures claiming that God would incarnate as
our Saviour
Isa 59:15 Yea, truth is lacking; and he that departeth from evil
maketh himself a prey. And Jehovah saw it, and it displeased him that
there was no justice.
Isa 59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there
was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation unto him;
and his righteousness, it upheld him.
Isa 59:17 And he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet
of salvation upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for
clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
This scripture shows crystal clear that God saw **no man could provide
salvation** and His intention was to incarnate Himself as our Saviour
("therefore his own arm brought salvation unto him").
Isn't that a beautiful Scripture? It says God knew "no man" could be
the intercessor for those who had decided to depart from evil, so God
would do/did it himself.
Our Saviour the Messiah was not *just* a man; he was God incarnate in

To PROVE that Jesus is God you MUST explain how an INFINITE being can be
FULLY contained in a FINITE vessel. i.e. NONE of that infinite being
OUTSIDE the finite being. That means that where Jesus of Nazareth is on
earth , there God is BUT ALSO that God exists NOWHERE apart from the finite
body of Jesus of Nazareth. Therefore when Jesus of Nazareth is in Bethlehem
then God is not in Jerusalem (or any other place in the universe).
I look forwared to your philosophical proof of this matter for only then can
Jesus of Nazareth be FULLY the One God.
That is what EVERY TRINITARIAN CHRISTIAN cannot answer and cannot prove. On
this fact rests the whole of the "Jesus is God" theory.

I'm afraid Isaiah 59 is just more mental masturbation intended to
shore up a failing religion. Always ask yourself after reading such a
passage, "What did it really teach me about G-D?" You will soon see
that there is alot of "filler" in the OT. It is the equivalent of
advertisments on our TV and internet, advertisements for the false
priesthood, which intended to keep everyone in a state of perpetual
fear of the "LORD," only it wasn't the LORD at all, but just the
vanity of their imagination directed toward the purpose of social
control, i.e. brainwashing the people.

It doesn't say angels were the creators.
And the word translated to "angel"
(and note the singular, not plural
and you really that slow that you didn't
note that it wasn't plural) simply means,

In the passage in Zechariah chapter 12 nothing is said
about "the apparent defeat of the Hebrew God".

REEPLY: Jesus claimed to be THE creator himself, he accepted praise
and worship from others, he did real miracles as attested to by eye
witnesses over and over again, he fullfilled over 200 ancient
prophecies of hiimself , then he predicted his own death and
ressurection then accomplished it. In fact, he was crucified for
claiming to be God in the flesh and for refusing to recant his
position. Just think for a moment...the actual Creator of the
UNIVERSE who spoke and it lept into being...actually came to earth and
lived in a human body with all of its problems and challenges, allowed
himself to be hated and abandoned and eventually nailed to a cross.
Our great Creator is extremely loving and self sacrificing and is
worthy of our worship and devotion. Its the greatest act of
gratefullness that can be made on our behalf. It is the very least we
could do. If you are willing to do so, you can be guaranteed a nice
eternity in his presence. I trust you want this Friend. It would be
nice to see you there ! Dave.
Hebrews 1:3

his
being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had
provided
purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty
in
heaven.
The exact representation of Himself? There are many statements made by
Him
that would be complete nonsense if you want to claim that Jesus is His
own
father, raised Himself from the dead, and prayed to Himself during
His
death.I could understand that if He was indeed His own father and
creator
that he basically had to separate himself from his heavenly glory and
then
refer to himself as another person. Who is the Majesty that he sits

Yes, precisely. You need to ask yourself, who is the LORD? It is not
JHVH, because that is the angel Raphael, as Genesis 18 proves. There,
Abraham addresses Raphael repeatedly as JHVH, translated as LORD. In
verse 3, on the other hand, he addresses all three angels as ADNJ
(Adonai), translated as lord, which proves that Raphael alone is
JHVH. Moses saw only a part of the LORD. Parts of the human psyche
are called archetypes. Parts of the LORD are called archangels. The
backside of the LORD is called Archangel Raphael. Raphael was the
biological father of Jesus. Mother Mary is an Archaii and the consort
of Raphael. The Heavenly Father of Jesus is Metatron, the synthetic
unity of all seven archangels. The Hebrew name of Jesus is Jehoshua,
JHVSA, the LORD in His entirety, the central personality of GODHEAD.
Jehoshua Moshiach is the LORD G-D of Israel and second to none. The
angel of the LORD, Michael, sits at the right hand of Jehoshua
Moshiach. The LORD said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand until I
make of thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord here is Michael, the
Prince of Israel. He was the Lord of Moses, David, and all the
children of Israel. Even Michael could only say unto Satan, the LORD
rebuke thee. The LORD alone can overcome evil. Those who reject the
LORD are stuck with evil.
