Object: knowing both the time and the times
What time is it?
It is time to seek the LORD...
Sow for yourselves righteousness;
reap steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground;
for it is time to seek the LORD,
that he may come
and rain righteousness upon you.
-- Hosea 10:12
It is good to give thanks
to the LORD,
And to sing praises
to Your name, O Most High.
-- Psalm 92:1
Seek the LORD and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
Remember His marvelous works
which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth.
-- Psalm 105: 4,5
And those who know Your name
will put their trust in You;
For You, LORD, have not forsaken
those who seek You.
-- Psalm 9:10
The LORD is my rock
and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold.
-- Psalm 18:2
The LORD redeems the soul
of His servants,
And none of those who trust
in Him shall be condemned.
-- Psalm 34:22
Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds
among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice
who seek the LORD!
-- Psalm 105: 1-3
But it is good
for me to draw near to God;
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
That I may declare all Your works.
-- Psalm 73:28
What time is it? It is time to seek the LORD.
Consider both the warning and the promise
in the words of God through this Bible prophet:
You have spoken harsh words against me, says the LORD.
Yet you say, "How have we spoken against you?"
You have said, "It is vain to serve God. What do we profit
by keeping his command or by going about as mourners
before the LORD of hosts? Now we count the arrogant happy;
evildoers not only prosper, but when they put God
to the test they escape."
Then those who revered the LORD
spoke with one another. The LORD took note and listened,
and a book of remembrance was written before him of those
who revered the LORD and thought on his name.
They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts,
my special possession on the day when I act,
and I will spare them as a man spares his son
who serves him. Then once more you shall see
the difference between the righteous
and the wicked, between one who serves God
and one who does not serve him.
-- Malachi 3:13-18
God's best to all who love His name.
God's blessings are upon all who seek His face.
He will abundantly care for all who need Him
and who seek Him in their times of difficulty
(see Psalm 145).
The Lord Jesus is faithful to rescue all
who cry out to Him, to all who call on God in His Name.
He will not lose even one of all who trust in Him.
He is God. He is God Most High.
No living creature and no power, no other thing
in all that exists in any place, is able to keep us
from the blessing and help of the Lord our God.
The Name of the Lord is holy, and all who seek Him
will be kept. All who praise and adore Him
will be forever with Him. Amen and amen.
