Title: an empty page 31 Oct 2004 04:57:30 AM
an empty page is beautiful
well, this one is no longer empty,
but i can still see the empty page
underneath all these letters.
it doesn't tell me what to put on it.
it's just an empty page.
well, not any more, but it will be again.
in fact, half of it is entirely empty.
maybe even so, quite a bit more than
half of the available space on it is
filled with nothing at all.
it's not as if all the letters mess
up the tranquility of the page.
but, maybe they do, in a certain manner.
it's not at all as if i feel i must
put stuff on an empty page.
in fact, an empty page is beautiful.
maybe this page is not so bad, either.

more stuff to cover a nice empty page
i skipped over all the snow, because
i'll leave that to its own special time.
i'd have to shovel it out of the way any way.
but it's got water in it.
well, actually, snow is got a lot of water in it.
some people even believe that snow -is- water.
but i'm not entirely convinced.
ok, fine, so snow is water.
i'm sure glad it doesn't fall all at once.

Title: to whom shall we go? 02 Nov 2004 08:01:06 AM
John 6:67-69
Then Jesus said to the twelve,
"Do you also want to go away?"
But Simon Peter answered Him,
"Lord, to whom shall we go?
You have the words of eternal life.
Also we have come to believe
and know that You are the Christ,
the Holy One of God."

Title: i concede the election 03 Nov 2004 04:48:56 AM
there was talk of 100 million voters
turning out and voting for me, Timothy Sutter,
in my undeclared 'write in' candidacy
for President of The United States,
but, apparently, that block of electors
failed to turn out in the numbers projected,
or even at all, as far as i can see.
while i admit my disappointment
in this extreme voter apathy
among the Timothy Sutter block,
i find that i must, now, concede this
election to one of the other candidates.
i just would like to thank
all of my supporters,
even and especially, those
100 million who didn't
vote for me.
disclaimer;
i am not now considering relinquishing
my seat as President of the United States.
disclaimer 2.
i was just kidding.
disclaimer 3.
seriously, i will, eventually
give up my seat as president
to some other competent individual.
disclaimer 4.
i was just kidding.
disclaimer 5.
seriously, there was never any undeclared
'write in' candidacy for Timothy Sutter.
and, so, i will continue to allow one
of the other 'candidates' to act
as president.

Title: 'fair weather friends'? 03 Nov 2004 09:36:29 AM
'fair weather friends'
may be your friends
it's just that their
reliability remains
suspect.
it's not like you should drive
'fair weather friends' away
with a 'shoo'
just that, as what may be
described as 'weaker brethren'
they need strengthening so as
not to come and go and shift
with the breeze.
not that 'fair weather friends'
should not be considered
'false brethren'
and any positive reinforcement
you are able to lend may make
'fair weather friends' in to
allies and compatriots.
it is possible.

one too many 'not's
-> not that 'fair weather friends'
-> should be considered
-> 'false brethren'

'fair weather friends'
may be your friends

like you don't already know that
christianity is not a matter
of political expediancy.
i figure that's an easy thing to grasp.
