making a decision for Christ... salvation for the smart, only... |
yes, Christ came for all the ones given Him by the Father...
" all that the Father gives Me shall come to Me... "
Joh. 6:37
however, those who've committed the ' sin unto death ' are
excluded... blaspheming the Holy Spirit...
" Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven
men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. "
Mt.12:31
this would of course mean ' limited atonement / particular
redemption is taught by Christ Himself, putting an end to any idea
that His atonement for sin is universal.
beyond that, there are those who teach Christ paid the penalty for
the sins of the whole world and now its up to man to ' accept Jesus as
his Lord and Savior ' in order to become saved. this is salvation by
righteous works... grace is obtained by first doing something good
towards God invoking Him to save.
this is the salvation offered by the Evangelicals today as they
offer a Savior who can not save unless man does some good toward God
first.
they don't try to explain that these 4 Bible prophets were elected
to salvation while yet fetuses... these are... Jacob; David; Jeremiah
and John the Baptist. they dont care to explain Joh. 1:12,13 which
states that man is not saved by the will of man. and they never touch
on Ro. 9 and especially Acts 13:48.
these have a savior who can not save without man contributing to his
own salvation by some act of his will. they have reworded faith as
not being saved by the " faith of Christ " ( Ga. 3:22 ) but that
faith is conjured up by man as he more and more perceives his need for
salvation.
sad but true.
it's a salvation for the smart only. and Christ failed miserably at
Calvary since many have gone on to perdition having not ' placed their
faith in Jesus. '
Christ came only for His sheep. it is only they who hear the voice
of the Good Shepherd. there is hope for the world as long as Jesus
Christ comes for the ones given Him by the Father... since man's love
for sin excludes him from ever seeking God. Ro. 3:11
