Not as the world giveth |
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth;
I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am
come to set a man at variance against his father,
and the daughter against her mother, and the
daughter in law against her mother in law, and a
man's foes shall be they of his own household.
|
He that loveth father or mother more than me is
not worthy of me, and he that loveth son or
daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and he
that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me,
is not worthy of me.
|
He that findeth his life shall lose it, and he that
loseth his life for my sake shall find it"
(Matthew 10:34-39).
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye
might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome
the world" (John 16:33).
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you,
not as the world giveth, give I unto you; let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"
(John 14:27).
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and
peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Ghost"
(Romans 15:13).
"Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith,
from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ"
(Ephesians 6:23).

OK. Debate is good.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is
not worthy of me, and he that loveth son or
daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and he
that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me,
is not worthy of me.
Don't like this one. Horribly arrogant. "Not worthy of me". A bit of
humility, please.
He that findeth his life shall lose it, and he that
loseth his life for my sake shall find it"
(Matthew 10:34-39).
Whatever you mean, pal.
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye
might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome
the world" (John 16:33).
"Overcome the world". Typical John's tosh.
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you,
not as the world giveth, give I unto you; let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"
(John 14:27).
I thought two paragraphs above he said he didnt come to send peace, but a
sword. Can we have some consistency, please?
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and
peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Ghost"
(Romans 15:13).
Who is the god of hope? Is it a different one from the big one?

Milan

Read the Bible doesn't debate. He gives a Bible Verse Vomit. A Bible Verse
Vomit proves nothing.
