An "interest in cults and satanic type of things" was said to be a likely
factor behind the spate of vandalism against churches in Knoxville.
Among items discovered at the suspects home were an upside down cross,
dismembered religious statues and statues with what appeared to be blood
over them.
The suspect has been sent for treatment regarding mental health issues, and
subsequently will be moved directly to jail where he will be held on a
$140,000 bond.
