Whats wrong with the NIV? Dave have you ever looked at an Interlinear
bible? Go to www.christianbook.com and buy one. I just ordered one
that I have looked at before, and the NIV is right on in many areas.
I will give you two verses to go look up in an Interlinear bible and
compare with the NIV.
NIV
Prov. 30:28 a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in
kings¹ palaces.
Rom. 13:8 ¶ Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt
to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the
law.
The KJV for the 1st verse says "spider" and the KJV says to owe no man
anything for the second verse.
The bible does not forbid debts, it just forbids letting them remain
unpaid which would be outstanding. Go ahead and call your credit card
or loan company and ask them what an "outstanding debt" is. Its not a
huge amount, its a debt that is not being paid. You go see.
