You are an ignorant person. Physical attributes such as the
color of ones eyes and skin (African, Asian) are immutable.
Left-handedness on the other "hand" can be reversed just as
can and HAS in some cases,
And just because some things, such as left-handedness, may
not be literally immutable in SOME cases... that is ANY reason to
**expect** someone to change that with which they very likely
are quite content?
If homos are "quite content" being homos that ok. Homo should not,
however, expect that their contentedness will be reason for society in
which they are a small minority to modify it'd traditions and customs
to accommodate the homosexual's perverted sexual behavior. Let the
homosexuals modify their behavior. I'm sure you will agree that that
is the democratic way to deal with the differences. The few will
change their behavior to benefit the whole of society. That's fair.

population. After all, the USA is in a very poisoned state, with one
of our two main political parties -- the one currently in power, unfor-
tunately -- having been destroyed from within by those bigots. Now
it is nothing but a ludicrous Culture of Corruption.

America WILL ultimately reject the RRR's loathsome and mindless
agendas and be far the better for it. Just as we were after 1965,
with the extinction of segregation. All historical precedents prove
this. Since 1865, here in the USA ---
Society ALWAYS outgrows intolerant and hateful movements
that are mired in stupidity, and are supported by NO relevant
facts. ALWAYS. No exceptions! And our own history, here
in the USA, makes that very clear. ---

Segregationists were a JOKE (i.e., "laughingstock status")
during the last few years before it became extinct. As opposition
to EQUAL rights for gays (with respect to housing, being parents,
marriage, and employment) continues to fade, the remaining
opponents first will become laughingstocks, and then that
hatefulness will end in extinction. constant consciousness-raising,
as is being assisted by the media in its sitcoms, talk shows, etc., is
very helpful.
The ludicrous and hateful actions and defense of sociopathic
agendas against individual liberties on the part of the adherents/
lemmings of the RRR Cult will soon lead to American society's
becoming EMBARRASSED to have those louts in their midst,
making our country a laughingstock in front of you in the rest of
the world. Even now, the process of their becoming FED UP
with that is building toward the critical mass that will trigger the
*rejection* of the RRR's **shameful** and worthless agendas.
Before much longer, society will reject those movements with
all the force that it brought to bear against segregation.
Historical precedents have CONSISTENTLY proven that
Americans **outgrow* movements of intolerance (such as ALL
of the above), and then REJECT them -- leaving them behind
FOREVER.
And *that* is EXTINCTION.
Very WELCOME extinction. As in, "Good riddance forever!"
That said, though, one very devastating legacy of the RRR
Cult will probably continue to haunt us for as long as any Amer-
ican alive today may live. For DECADES after the RRR Cult
and its loathsome agendas have become a distant and dismal
memory... a BLOT on this nation's history, just as is the case
right now with segregation and its adherents.
For it now appears inevitable that while America's citizens
slept drowsily through the most important hearings this nation
has ever experienced, our freedoms will have inexorably have
been thrown away. Possibly forevermore.
The U.S. Supreme Court has been benign, fair-minded, and
benevolent for as long as any American alive today can remem-
ber.
Why? Because for all of that time, its majority has striven
hard to interpret the Constitution in a manner that FAVORED
the retention or granting of personal liberties, wherever possible.
Simultaneously, the Court has had a minority that has sought
JUST as hard and as assiduously to do precisely the opposite.
The Constitution is a **generalized** document. When the
high court is faced with grey areas, it often is possible for its
justices to lean one way or the other, while still staying within
the strictest confines of the Constitution.
What would America be like today if the U.S. Supreme Court,
for just the last 52 years, had the composition that it now looks
like it may have for the *next* 52, or more?
In 1954, "Brown vs. Board of Education" would have gone
the other way.
Fortunately, the reality was that that case provided the
IMPETUS that the blacks so sorely needed to organize the
Civil Rights Movement, and utimately become FREE of segreg-
ation and most of the more blatant forms of racial discrimina-
tion by a decade later.
WITHOUT that decision, though, it is likely that the blacks
would have remained cowed, submissive, and defeated. Maybe
for decades longer. At a cost of incalculably huge losses to
America in terms of their brainpower, courage, and service
to the nation equal to that of the whites. Countless BILLIONS
of person-days of that, gone. Crushing bigotry imposed on them
instead.
In 1967, had the court had a so-called "conservative" majority,
"Loving vs Virginia" would have gone south, figuratively-speaking,
and today we might still have entire states in which interracial
marriage is prohibited. Hateful bigots were screeching, back
in the days when so-called "miscegenation laws" had not yet
been struck down, that America would be destroyed by "mongrel-
ization" without those prohibitions. Typical sky-is-falling stuff,
born of the same ignorance that we see today on the part of
the ignorant bigots who oppose same-sex marriage.
Fortunately, the decision was favorable, and the bigoted laws
bit the dust. The sky didn't fall. And America was ENHANCED
by its greater acceptance of diversity.
The same COULD have happened for the gays, **without**
the pollution of the Supreme Court by a majority of justices who
are opposed to many personal liberties.
Thus -- same-sex marriage ultimately WILL be fully legalized
throughout America. And the sky won't fall. Nothing will change
for the worse. And once again, society will have been enhanced
by its further acceptance of harmless diversity.
But instead of that's happening a short time from now, EASILY,
in keeping with the fair-minded nature of the benevolent and
liberty-defending Court that we've had UNTIL now... we instead
will have to fight for it, possibly over decades. Until at last a
Constitutional Amendment is passed, much as we've seen happen
in far more egalitarian Canada and some other democracies having
slightly different forms of government.
Because consciousness-raising toward homosexuality has been
underway in American society for around 40 years now... and
every year, the percentage of those who support bigotry toward
gays is smaller. In 1960, same-sex marriage would have seemed
far-fetched fantasy, and probably would have been opposed by
almost everyone but the gays -- and even by many of *them*!
But in 2006, as Americans have watched even its closest neigh-
bor to the north embrace fairness, the number of people, USA-
wide, who would not object to legalized same-sex marriage is
edging closer and closer to 50%, and WILL become the majority.
A majority that one day will cause a Constitutional Amendment
to legalize same-sex marriage.
For, thanks to the Construction's clear-cut and likely immutable
language, we have a firm set of checks-and-balances in our
government at the federal level. Damage done by the sort of vile
and vicious Supreme Court -- the composition of which it appears
now that we no longer can prevent -- CAN be checked and over-
come by the passage of Constitutional Amendments that overrule
their decisions.
So -- it's now a question of which will happen to our society
first. The Orwellianization of it. Or the Awakening of it.
To the world: PLEASE do all in your power to encourage us
to stop being a nation of impotent sheep, and to wrest ourselves
free of the loathsome RRR Cult and its hateful agendas.
It's in our best interests.
But it also is in yours.
If Orwell's "1984" scenario befalls us... then where on earth
will you ever again find a powerful-enough defender of you,
should any nation or alliance arise again to threaten you, as
happened 65 years ago on this planet?
The fight against our pseudo-"Religious" Radical Right must
ultimately be won both by an egalitarian American society -- and
by an egalitarian WORLD.
