Piece of Earth |
It seems to me that many countries today want a Piece of Earth rather
than Peace on Earth. Remember what it says in the good book " The Geek
shall inherit the Earth". (or is it meek - same thing in any case).
Never has this been more true than today.We are not alone in the
Galaxy so let's start thinking and acting as a whole rather than a
hole and pull together. There is nothing to fight about - we are all
one people - human beings. To those that would interfere in others
affairs I would turn to the good book once again and ask them to
remember the Prime Directive..
The Prime Directive dictates that there can be no interference with
the internal affairs of other civilizations. In many respects, then,
the prime directive can be considered the galactic analogue of
Westphalian sovereignty. It has special implications, however, for
civilizations still at a 'primitive' stage of development, since no
primitive culture can be given or exposed to any information regarding
advanced technology or the existence of extraplanetary civilizations,
lest this exposure alter the natural development of the civilization.
In addition to exposure, purposeful efforts to improve or change in
any way the natural course of such a society, even if that change is
well-intentioned and kept completely secret, are prohibited.
The hunt for fossil fuels is now a false one - we have the technology
to do without these in the near future - now is the time to start the
convertion to new clean power sources - electric cars and possibly
Fusion Reactors (nearly there). This makes the conquest of the middle
East a falacy.
So there we are. stop fighting and smell the daisies...I won't warn
you again.
