PING: SCOTT - ISAIAH VS REVELATION |
On Sun, 27 Mar 2005 18:37:45 -0800, after pondering
deep thoughts, "Scott" <chayim@cox.net> spake thusly:
ignoring the old testament prophets spells DOOM and people build an
understanding off of the additions to the foundation and not setting a view
on solid foundation..
why NOT TAKE THE PROPHETS for what they say/ you people are being seduced
by demonic doctrines,, and WIDE IS THE PATH that leads to destruction and
MANY GO THERE..
does not matter what this or that group does.. read the prophets,, there is
clear physical kingdom there, STOP IGNORING THE PROMISES GIVEN TO LITERAL
AND PHYSICAL HEBREWS CALLED JEWS..
failure to accept these things can result in one's should being utterly lost
to them. don't ignore ALL THE PROPHETS , failure to heed and understand
their literal meanings can lead to your destructions..
get ahold of yourselves, this doctrine is setting you up to be against GOD
THE FATHER.. its the doctrine of demons.
You seem to forget your foot in mouth doctrine that you
were exposed on a short time ago. And yet, your ego
keeps inflating and you just can't admit that you might
be wrong. But here ya go, Scott. Let's take every
word of the prophets literally and see what happens.
Now it is your contention that in the new heaven and
Earth, there is no more dying, because you take it
literally. Look at what Revelation has to say...
Revelation 21:1-4
1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the
first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and
there was no more sea.
2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming
down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride
adorned for her husband.
3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will
dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the
former things are passed away.
Note v4. "there shall be no more death".
Now let's see what the prophet Isaiah had to say about
the new heaven and Earth...
Isaiah 65:17-20
17) For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:
and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into
mind.
18) But be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I
create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing,
and her people a joy.
19) And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my
people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard
in her, nor the voice of crying.
20) There shall be no more thence an infant of days,
nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the
child shall die a hundred years old; but the sinner
being a hundred years old shall be accursed.
So here we are. A new heaven and a new Earth. You
claim it is literal, so let's see what happens if we
apply it literally. Well, lookey there! "the child
shall DIE a hundred years old".
So which is it, Scott? Is there no more death? Or
does the child die 100 years old?
Now you go ahead and pretend that you have some
righteous anger going and blast me for saying the Bible
is lying. The REALITY is, that YOU are saying that the
Bible contradicts itself. If these passages are taken
LITERALLY, then the Bible does indeed contradict
itself.
But hey, go ahead and tell everyone else how they don't
understand the Bible and how they don't care about what
the prophets say, etc., while all the while, you're
busy pitting the Bible against itself.
Your ego is about the size of a football stadium and
when you get proven wrong, you then falsely categorize
people into groups that they don't even belong to,
because you THINK that by doing so, you can AVOID the
rebuttal they made.
I am certainly not perfect and have been wrong before.
The difference between you and I though, is that you do
not allow for the possibility that you could be wrong.
I have been a pastor for quite some time now. I am
very intelligent (152 IQ). I am very well studied in
various areas of science, history and of course, the
Bible, which I have been studying, along with the
history, life and times of the people involved, for
over 20 years now, not counting my unfortunate Roman
Catholic days as a kid. But you go ahead and assume
that you are right and I have no idea what the Bible
says. Yea, that makes sense. (:

I never said that everything was literal this is the 3rd time now I've said
this..
where symbology is used we can see non literals, where plain speech in the
context of a prophet is used we see literals. I've made that clear a few
times now..
I am certainly not perfect and have been wrong before.
The difference between you and I though, is that you do
not allow for the possibility that you could be wrong.
not when we have dozens of clear references of a Kingdom on earth in the
prophets No possibility of distorting the text. giving un equal weight to
scripture in order to prove a doctrine is distortion and a Torah Moral code
violation.
For instance you clearly ignore the law of the prince in Ezekiel's temple
and claim that was the 2nd temple. I cannot be possibly wrong there because
THERE WERE NO PRINCES IN THE 2ND TEMPLE
so in clear and very simple logic only 2 choices remain
1. False prophecy
2 yet unfulfilled
and you have a high IQ and can't grasp this one?
tell me;
1. if Ezekiel is speaking of the 2nd temple that was built a short time
later, was he a false prophet when he speaks of a the prince by the eastern
gate eating the bread?
2. can you name for me any princes or Kings in Israel during the 2nd temple
reign that followed the laws of Ezekiel's Temple here?
Ezekiel 44;
3. "As for the prince, because he is the prince, he may sit in it to eat
bread before the Lord; he shall enter by way of the vestibule of the
gateway, and go out the same way.''
4. Then He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple;
so I looked, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord;
and I fell on my face.
5. And the Lord said to me, "Son of man, mark well, see with your eyes and
hear with your ears, all that I say to you concerning all the ordinances of
the house of the Lord and all its laws. Mark well who may enter the house
and all who go out from the sanctuary.
6. "Now say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, `Thus says the Lord
God: "O house of Israel, let us have no more of all your abominations.
7. "When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and
uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it My house and when
you offered My food, the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant
because of all your abominations.
8. "And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but you have set
others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.''
9. `Thus says the Lord God: "No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart or
uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter My sanctuary, including any foreigner
who is among the children of Israel.
Yes I can be wrong in other areas and yes I don't know everything
OBVIOUSLY do you?
9. `Thus says the Lord God: "No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart or
uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter My sanctuary, including any foreigner
who is among the children of Israel
History records plenty of the uncircumcised entered into the 2nd temple..
3. "As for the prince, because he is the prince, he may sit in it to eat
bread before the Lord; he shall enter by way of the vestibule of the
gateway, and go out the same way.''
never was a prince who did these things in the 2nd temple
tell me Dave with your 152 IQ why is it you simply ignore this?
I can tell you, you are so hell bent to prove a doctrine you ignore others.
for instance;
Matthew 24;
29. "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be
darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from
heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all
the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming
on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
verse 30 tell me when all the tribes of the earth mourned and how can all
of them have seen this event back in 70 but not one single nations records
seeing a sign of anything or seeing the sun darkened or the moon not giving
her light..
31. "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they
will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven
to the other.
now one records this event above either.
did everyone but a millensists miss this?
