Pleasing God |
Do not waste your life away
pleasing yourself or the world.
It will do you no good in the end.
The world and its desires pass away,
but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
(1 John 2:17 NIV)
This is the will of God:
And this is his command:
to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ,
and to love one another as he commanded us.
(1 John 3:23)
Have you believed for eternal life in Jesus
(not church, baptism, sacrament, efforts, but Jesus)?
Those who claim Jesus is their eternal life
must walk in love as Jesus walked.

I wonder how one would feel to discover on the second-from-the-last-day
of one's life, that god turns out to be nothing more than Nature. And
that when one dies, it's permanent. No afterlife, no spirit hanging
around waiting for some grand rapture, just the end of your entire
existence forever. Done!
It might not be a bad feeling, especially if you've done a lot of good.
But would you have lived your life differently had you /known-for-sure/
that there is not some grand judge in the sky, and NO afterlife. Would
you use the small amount of time you have, any differently?
Would you have been much more bold in wooing that woman you were always
to afraid to talk to? Would you become a coward in the face of harm or
death? Would you have spoken up against those petty tyrants? Would
you...have lived your life as if it were truly a once in a lifetime
gift, to exactly and only you?

The afterlife and the teachings in the Bible is not folk lore. I have
faith in the teachings of the bible.
I am not perfect and deserve hell but I asked forgiveness, believe that
Christ is God son and told him in my prayers. For those without the
faith, ask God to make himself real . Ask God to do something that
there be no doubt at all who God is. But you need to be sincere about
the request.
No one knows when death will occur and people should live as if the day
would be the last day on this earth.

moment.
