First, I believe I have offended Christians on these newsgroups.
As you have offended atheists.
And yet, the poster the atheist responded to didn't
attack atheists. And the atheists constantly states
that if a Christian is going to post their beliefs,
they should be ready to have them attacked and
ridiculed (as if that somehow justifies the atheists
behavior), but here, we have the atheist complaining
that he's been offended and the poster did NOT
ridicule, nor attack him.
I am
seeking to redeem myself by sharing some light and love.

Second, there's no sense in preaching to the choir.
There is no sense in preaching. It only proves your stupidity.

Finally, I've noticed the paucity of anecdotal evidence on the atheism
newsgroups, so I feel that contributing accounts of my personal
experiences may encourage some atheists to change their minds and
assent to the existence of God.
If you believe that you should be institutionalized (again?).
