Forgive my confusion, but can you explain this belief in some more
detail?

In a way, this is what my church teaches. "Christianity is about a
relationship with Christ, not a religion." However, I suspect you
may be saying more than this.

When you look in the Yellow pages under Churches, you'll see all the
denominations. Most of them, if not all of them teach from the
Bible. Why have all those seperations if they all teach from the
Bible?

What I look for is a church that teaches the entire Bible and not
just parts of it, like just the Old Testiment. My parents made me go
to a church like that when I was a kid. Lots of Old Testiment stuff
and almost no Jesus and salvation. But if someone asks me what
denomination I am, I tell them I don't like to think of myself as
having one since there is only one body of Christ. So then they
usually say "Oh, Non-Denominational" and I say "No, not even that."
See, "Non-Denominational" is a denomination in my eyes. It's a
"label.". I usually end up saying simply "Christian."

I guess Christian is the religeon I believe in and the denomination
label is what I don't like.

You didn't say much about your theology (e.g. opinion of God's
character and
purpose). I'd like to know that as well.

I really never thought about that. His purpose for being there in
the first place? Being that He is the Alpha and the Omega, what
would be His purpose? I don't know. His character? God is love.
That is all I know or even want to try to figure out at this point.

It's a belief akin to Preterism. I suppose he is a full or partial
preterist. They believe that many or all of the prophecies were

You do not *understand* that the Rapture *is* Scriptural.
You deny the Word of our Lord. Who do you serve?

Well, let's see. The Rapture is taught by millions of
churches. There are movies about it, books about it,
web sites about it. I have studied it extensively.
But with all of that material floating around, you're
right. Chances are I don't know what it is. In fact,
chances are I've never even heard of it. <chuckle>
