They are doing what they have been told to do. If you think all of them
believe their actions are right you've not paid a lot of attention to

Ther are always malcontents in any large organization. I'd bet if it was
put to a vote, the overwhelming majority of the military in Iraq would
either say that their actions are right, or that their main problem is
they haven't been allowed to open a big enough can of whoop-***** on the
insurgents.

What kind of weapon is "whoop-*****"? Sounds like Sarin. But is goes to
prove, that the poison gas Sadam used against the Iranians and the Kurds
was supplied by good ol' uncle Sam.
Also, like the USA has proved so many times, the "whoop-*****" is used
mainly against civilians. Just look at some video clips of the miles of
flattened rubble that were towns and cities, which your beloved military
created, just so there would be no cover for those few potential
terrorists planting road-side bombs. What is now a desolate and
unpopulated desert were civilian dwellings with civilian occupants, not
terrorists camps.
Reminds one of the hawks during the Vietnam war who wanted to flatten
all and "kill all that breatheth", destroying all vestiges of human
inhabitation, and then call it peace.
How long before terrorists infiltrate our cities with back-pack battle
nukes making all of us city-dwellers refugees in our own country, perhaps
much like those who used to live in the towns we destroyed?
