A Prayer Upon Waking :)
Dear God, so far today, I've done all right. I haven't gossiped, and I
haven't lost my temper.
I haven't been grumpy, nasty or selfish, and I'm really glad of that!
But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed, and from then
on,
I'm probably going to need a lot of help.
Thank you
ABSOLUTELY! Thank God for His Precious Holy Spirit sent to lead and
guide
us. Those promptings and/or urgings when one selects a way that is not
right - how thankful I am for Him who draws me back on His path.
This raises an important philosophical point. We are not to judge
persons, not even ourselves, we are to judge actions ONLY, for judgment is
of the Lord. Therefore a Christian is not to congratulate himself, saying
"I
have done all right", for that is for the Lord to determine.
So, let us hear one born again, how he can express those sentiments
above, without appearing to pat himself on the back. That's the challenge.
Perhaps one could say: I praise you Lord for letting me wake up without
feeling grumpy, gossipy etc. etc. etc. and I pray that You will keep me
from
having such desires and giving in to them once I get out of bed.
What do YOU think?
==>I LOVE to give Him glory. No pats on my back. That is what I think.

Jesus in Lk:6:37: Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not,
and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
1Cor:4:3: But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged
by you, or by any man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
1Cor:4:4: For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified:
but He that judgeth me is my Father which is in Heaven.
