Well, according to our georgann, scented candles, incense, bells and windchimes
are bonafide "demon attractors". I kid you not ;)

Like we needed more from georgann?

You have a point. But it's gen-yoo-winely kooky.
Even when I was a Teenage Fundy I didn't hear such nonsense. The church
didn't have such things around, being no-frills Calvinists, but I would
bet money that a number of the members had scented candles and windchimes
at home. Incense was considered a bit outre (this was at the end of
the Just Say Yo era in California) but I'm also sure that a
number of the ladies had "air freshener" around.
The "demon attractor" seems to be between Georgann's ears.

Well, they ought to be told that they're breaking Canon Law. High Mass
ought to be celebrated in parish churches on all Sundays and First
Class Holy Days, and without incense it isn't a High Mass.
You'll be telling me next that the priest celebrates mass without a
deacon and subdeacon in attendance. Heresy!
