Raymond Knapps posts ! This is an incredible statement to make,
I can't accept this as fact.
I believe that most reading here will remember Knapp boasting
repeatedly of having those SYSOPs remove the PRIME network.
Now he would try to deny that.
Perhaps due in part to your own actions as opposed to Raymonds
"charisma", or skill of manipulating the intelligence of your
sysops ? Steve, look at you own mannerisms ! The way you speak
to others, the way you encourage the combative spirit in those
you trouble ! Fruit of the Spirit is to show constantly, not
just when it is allowed to show. This is what we have been seeing
from you.
I guess Raymond Knapp just couldn't help but to lie again.
It does appear that if Raymond had a hand in it, he was justified in
doing so because of your own actions. I dare to say he was tired of
abuse. That alone would rate booting you without over exercising
Raymonds "super" charisma..........
Also,
real Apostolics teach that baptism is part of the new birth
whereby one becomes a Christian.
Real Apostolics also HEED the remainder of the scriptures as well,
such as the Words of Christ:

The filthy reprobate scum Raymond Knapp does not teach the real
Apostolic doctrine. He also claims to have been saved BEFORE
baptism in a Baptist cult.
I also thought I was "saved" in a baptist church, NOT knowing
the Holy Spirit until now.

look bad.
I managed to find the original remarks that began this thread and it
began with Mr. Burdette asking what defines apostolic and what makes it so
special. Mr. Price responded with this opening statement: "Apostolic means
to be likened to and followers of the teachings of the Apostles and Jesus
Christ as recorded within the scriptures".
The gospels reveal one group in particular gave Jesus a difficult time,
the Pharisees. When given an opportunity to defend himself, Jesus made
public a fatal flaw about them: their pride. In their view, they were an
elite and special group, and as such were afforded special privileges. They
imposed upon themselves and others a high standard. Unfortunately, everyone
makes mistakes and they were no exception. While they expected humility
from others, they were reluctant to return any. Jesus described them
collectively as a contemptuous lot, caught up in their own self-importance.

This is an issue which I've pondered over as well. I won't question the
validity of his baptism, but I concerns regarding other matters. RMS
Titanic wasn't sunk by any single act, but by a series of events which all
contributed to her demise. Fortunately, she only carried 2/3 of her
potential complement. In the same scenario, the loss of life could have
been a thousand more.
Mr. Bassett made some statements regarding Mr. Winter's early Christian
experiences. One, his personal life was a bit of a mess when he came to
know the Lord. As his background was music, he was influential in assisting
the musical efforts in his church. Two, he noted how respectful the pastor
was treated. At some point, Mr. Winter decided to become a minister. That
effort didn't pan out and Mr. Winter left the UPC for another institute to
become ordained. That didn't pan out either. Using the title of Reverend,
Mr. Winter instituted his own church which held a significant advantage for
him: he was accountable only to himself.
Has his ministry been blessed? It's managed to survive its infancy,
JNAHC has expanded to the size of a small chapel, he evangelizes through
music, there exists an electronic chat room for the congregation, a website
for his ministry, and Reverend Winter became Pastor Winter. No doubt you're
aware of all of this and could even correct me or amplify. But, has his
ministry been blessed in the conventional sense of spiritual outreach?
If Usenet can be used as a guage, an inhibiting factor is his natural
temperament. There is no doubt he can be a nice guy and has occasionally
shown a good sense of humour on Usenet. But, I feel he listens largely to
himself. He may have initially paid attention to the Holy Spirit because he
was learning, but I feel that a gulf has been created through the years as
his temperament tends to show a considerable amount of adversarial baiting,
something St. Paul clearly warned against. That trait in itself has
doubtless cost him some good opportunities and Impsmail corroborates it.
There is little argument that not all opportunities were good ones, but he
has records of instances where I have concluded there existed a personal
bias from the outset with Impsmail clearly showing questionable ethics of
its author.
Where am I heading with all of this? Like the Pharisees, Mr. Winter
wants to be treated as someone special. Unfortunately, his combative spirit
is his Achille's Heel. What humility he showed in the beginning has
steadily been eroded revealing the core of his character to be someone who
has difficulty getting along with people when he can't get his way. It was
their pride which undid the Pharisees in the eyes of Jesus and it will be
the pride of Mr. Winter which will undo his ministry on Usenet. Anyone
reading this particular episode will note that. Usenet does bring out those
who will bait people and this entire episode may have well begun with that
intent, but it's grown into something altogether different with our Example
being a bad example according to the Book he claims to live by when viewed
as a whole. His overall lack of humility and mercy will be his undoing. On
the other hand, I could be wrong about all of this. Gee, when would that be
a first?

For better or worse, Mr. Winter will do what he does best and that's all
we can expect of him. If we don't like it, there are always greener
pastures. Funny thing though: when no one is around, Mr. Winter only
dispenses silence. The atheists can blaspheme the Holy Spirit in whatever
manner they please and his silence only gives assent to their conduct.
Weird.

John, I have not the dilemma you seem to have concerning Mr. Winter, his
church history, or other oneness pentecostals such as Mark Bassett and
others.
You cannot be heterodox concerning the person of the Lord Jesus Christ
and be a christian. (I leave the possibility open for a deceived soul
who can and will be helped with sound scriptural instruction.)
When one is born again, which occurs without physical water, one
immediately owns Jesus as Lord; it is the evidence of the new birth and
the new nature received. The new nature cannot but receive what the
scriptures testify concerning the Blessed person of the Christ and own
him as their Lord. So when oneness pentecostals deny what the scriptures
plainly teach about Him, and boldly teach otherwise, they thus evidence
that they, in reality, deny the Holy and the True. All their trappings,
their fair and pious words not withstanding, they are impostors which
have crept into the faith, and are to be rejected and removed.
This is not an issue in which it's acceptable to disagree, no, never,
for it touches the very work of redemption that Christ wrought, for, if
He is not what the scriptures testify that He is, then all is lost, and
we are lost. I speak reverently: To sever the deity from the humanity of
the Lord Jesus (which oneness pentecostals do) is vile, disgusting, and
fatal error.
Moreover, to add anything to saving faith as that which alone redeems
man from his sins, such as insistence upon baptism and some blabbering
tongue to receive salvation, is to add to the good news which God has
revealed in His scriptures concerning salvation, and is clearly
condemned by God. The bearers of such false gospels are already accursed.
He that believes on the Son has life eternal, and he that is not subject
to the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him.
John 3:36
One is not a believer of, nor subject to, the Son when they take their
putrid tongues and cut Him in half and strip him of His Glory as the
unique God-man, the Lord out of heaven. They deny that He in Whom the
fullness of the Godhead was pleased to dwell bodily (Col. 1:19) died
upon the cross! No, they say, it was innocent flesh devoid of Deity.
Such vile blasphemy! Flesh apart from Deity is Adam-flesh, the first
man, sinful, fallen, unable to redeem, with the wrath of God abiding
upon him.
Am I to believe for a moment that the purveyors of these doctrines are
Christians?! Of course not! Christians should not be coddling or bearing
with false brethren.
Far and above most other oneness pentecostals here, Steve Winter has
amply demonstrated that he is an unmitigated servant of Satan, and the
wrath of God abides upon him.

Rod, I am a Baptist.
I feel I was saved long B4 entering any Baptist Church, or being
immersed in the baptistery... how? The moment I asked Jesus to enter
my life, years ago.
The 'church' saves no one, no matter how plain, or elaborate the
building - only Jesus saves :o)
