Only millionaires would *rationally* vote for Junior. They
are the only people his administration cares about. All the
other Shrub-voters are useful idiots who let themselves be
riled up by sideshow issues like the pledge of allegiance
and the confederate flag. The RRR (reactionary religious
right) siezes and retains power by pandering to the lowest
dregs of racism, ignorance and bigotry, firing them up
with religious and xenophobic mania to distract them from
the fact that their pockets are being picked by the ruling
elite, their jobs sent oversees and their life savings
wiped out. Unfortunately, this phonomenon, while strongest
in the south, is nationwide.

Unfortunately we are not voting for ideas and ideals, but for real life people.
Just because the Democrats spout wonderful sounding Confucian platitudes
about the perfect society, doesn't mean any such thing is going to actually
happen under their stewardship. If anyone voted for Al Gore simply because
he was poster boy for the idealistic propaganda of blue skies and great society,
rather than assessing the real life competencies of the candidates in the context
of the real, world as it is today, they are brainless doofuses who may as well
vote for Captain Kirk... now there was a great leader, magnanimous, totally
unbiased and unprejudiced, wise and gracious... and totally fictional.
"When the perfect order prevails, the world is like a home shared by all.
Virtuous and worthy men are elected to public office, and capable men
hold posts of gainful employment in society; peace and trust among all
men are the maxims of living. All men love and respect their own parents
and children, as well as the parents and children of others. There is caring
for the old; there are jobs for the adults; there are nourishment and education
for the children. There is a means of support for the widows, and the widowers;
for all who find themselves alone in the world; and for the disabled. Every
man and woman has an appropriate role to play in the family and society.
A sense of sharing displaces the effects of selfishness and materialism.
A devotion to public duty leaves no room for idleness, intrigues and conniving
for ill gain are unknown. Villains such as thieves and robbers do not exist.
The door to every home need never be lacked and bolted by day or night,
These are the characteristics of an ideal world, the commonwealth state." --
Confucius
Saying that is one thing... making it happen is altogether a different matter.
