Generally speaking, only those who already have faith that the Bible is
without error will accept that it is without error, or seek to prove it
so.

In reality, only the most casual glance is required to know that the Bible
is not inerrant and infallible. Trying determinedly to prove otherwise is
the common pastime of those who hold the book higher than the god. This
is
usually because it's easier for some people to imagine that, once they've
learned all the bits from the book that they're interested in, they know
everything they need to know about anything and are therefore in a
superior
position.

I would expect that someone who truly worships the Christian god would be
prepared to use the book for inspiration - but real truth comes from the
god Himself, and He doesn't need any book to talk to His followers.
