There is not much difference between a marketing program for
"religious goodies" and "baked beans" if one wants to get a new
product line going.
The judgement still belongs to God however.
Christ warned us there would be false prophets, false disciples etc.,
who would deceive the very elect if that were possible. Which means
another prophecy of His has come true time and time again through
history.
I do believe people are healed miraculously from time to time. But I
am also reminded of a joke. Fred and Harry go up for healing. Fred
has a terrible stutter, and Harry needs crutches to walk.
The TV evangelist tells them both they will be healed, and that they
should go behind a curtain on the stage. They do so.
Then the evangelist tells them "Harry and Fred, you are now both
healed!"
He then says, "Harry, throw your crutches over the curtain!"
The crutches come flying over the curtain and land on the stage floor
with a clatter.
Then the evangelist calls out. "OK, Fred, now tell us what's
happened!"
There's a moments silence, then Fred calls out "H-H-H-arry's
f-f-f-fall-e-en ov-over!!"
