ha. Actually, your observation no doubt applies to this NG, much of
the time, a lot of disgruntled anti-Witnesses (especially non-
Witnesses, or never-Witnesses) come, yes, and express sometimes hate,
sometimes fear, and sometimes merely consternation over real and
imagined flaws in the Witness society, their followers, their leaders,
their mores and morals, and their teachings, either now or past.
However, as one who hangs out, so to speak, on the
alt.religion.jehovahs-witn newsgroup almost two entire months, Aug and
Sept of this year, may I say something about Precision. This person
has an ability to, for the most part, lay out (dispassionately) often
balancing pro and con, and while I have been told by others he can be
intense and negative, I actually have seen a far more humane and
human side, patient, self-deprecating, if not authentically modest and
intelligent, and certainly not blind to the downsides of
organizations.
Groups, like individuals, grow and progress and evolve through time.
So as observers and participants, let us remember that true wisdom is
collaborative. We learn as members one of another. That takes, as has
been said, a good sense of humor, it takes self-honesty and an ongoing
dose of humility, an ability to smile at ones own shortcomings. It
takes a good ear, at every level. Even though all of us have "ears
hard of hearing" some of the time, or sometimes.
And hopefully, out of listening, hearkening, heeding, we will gain
perspective to embrace one another, our people (whatever our
"heritage" -- even we who're grafted on) to see the redeeming good,
and not throw out the baby with the bath water.
As far as "hate" being the motivation for honest criticism, I beg to
offer a different interp.
"An enemy who tells us the truth contributes infinitely more to our
self-improvement than a 'friend' who deludes us."
Another hypothetical for you. Imagine going to a doctor, for example
white-man medicine, and when she or he tells you something you don't
like, you conclude she/he "hates" you, so you seek a doctor who only
tells you what you want to hear.

Or claiming ex-JWs have the magic ability to post from computers that belong
to someone else, i.e. illegal hacking. Precision is a slanderer and bears
false witness like most JWs who have come and gone from this NG. He also
ignores the 10 commandments feeling they do not apply to him as a JW. Lare
is in total denial due to the blinders the WTS has installed on his
mind.......

That's what the WTS is teaching Lare. And Lare is eating it up hook, line
and sinker.

Why would anyone hate the JWs? They're such a pathetic group of people
micromanage by a elite group of near-senile ancient old men living in
Victorian times. Their every step is dictated to them... compassion is
what people feel for them, not hate. You're purposely confusing the two as
the WTS taught us to do.

They're morals and mores are no better or worse than any other group or
cult, sect or religion.

You mean the side where he slanders people and bears false witness against
them? Yes, we have also seen that side of him.
patient, self-deprecating, if not authentically modest and

Typical...........
Groups, like individuals, grow and progress and evolve through time.
Then the WTS should stop the DFing and shunning since they change their
rules, laws and beliefs constantly. They're no more inspired by God or
spirit directed than my 3 dogs are.
As far as "hate" being the motivation for honest criticism, I beg to
offer a different interp.
"An enemy who tells us the truth contributes infinitely more to our

Who is the enemy? Those who expose the WTS for what it really is and warn
people away from it?

white-man medicine, and when she or he tells you something you don't

That doesn't apply..... think of the Dr. warning you about smoking. Does
she or he HATE you because they warn you how dangerous smoking is and it's
not what you want to hear? ;-)

Well said.
As a side note, this newsgroup is dominated by Carol who defines a "lie" as
anything she does not believe. That makes me a "liar" for posting my views
and opinions that contradict Carol's worldview. On this basis, according to
her reasoning, I'm "a liar who breaks the 10 commandments" as she repeatedly
slanders hit and run style.
Interestingly, if we turn to Carol Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, the word
"liar" is defined as follows: "1. Anyone who believes, practices and states
anything Carol does not believe. 2. Anyone who expresses disagreement with
Carol. 3. Those who identify themselves as baptized Jehovah's Witnesses."

You are indeed a commandment breaking liar. It's all on Google and some is
privately archived. You have born false witness against me for 2 years now.
You have accused me of a serious crime I never committed (hacking Antonio
Santana's ISP account). You have assassinated my character (accusing me of
anything you think the gullible will believe) to discredit the truths I've
told about the WTS, truths you yourself are now aware of and post here!
;-)

Here you go breaking the Commandments again!!!! LOL!!! You don't even
realize or care that you're doing it!
You're talking about a different Carol or lying (as usual) about the regular
Carol on this NG.

SA....
All the JWs wish for is walking around the COUNTRYSIDE (never any towns
pictured in the WT rags) smiling like the village idiot and carrying
baskets of veggies and fruit with them. Also note they all live in suit
pants and dress shirts. The women live in housedresses of 1952 vintage.....
and they call that paradise? Any normal human being would rapidly be bored
to death looking at trees, grass, each other's ever smiling faces and eating
a vegetarian diet.
They'd soon be longing for a good book, a movie, a Mall or a steak
dinner..... (Carol)
