Sadly in your twisted mind Kelly, one that hates the sin, is also hatting
the sinner.
In the Emerging Church pastors are taught not to speak out against
homosexuality and other "hot issues" since they raise walls, and cause
division. In fundamentalisism such a position would never fly.
Now I understand Bible John Wolf so much better! While fundamentalists
the country over take great pains to distance themselves from disgraced
and defrocked Baptist pastor Fred Phelps, John Wolf not only embraces
but publically states his alliance with him.
You again need to read the quote in its CONTEXT.
In several places around
Wolf's website he speaks of how he hates this and he hates that.
I hate false doctrine yes. Read the bible and learn that Paul and the
apostles also hated false doctrine, as well my Lord.
He
hates bad doctrine, etc., etc. Fred Phelps is full of hate, and now I
see that Bible John Wolf is as well.
Phelps hates people. I hate false teaching. Big difference!
This explains so much about a
number of his posts, for while I have been intrigued by John's lack of
deep scriptural knowledge (because he claims to be a recent graduate of
a well known and respected four-year Bible College), I have noted
something just not quite right with his general attitude and his
antagonistic behavior.
In your ungodly mind perhaps. But you wont hear a peep out of me during the
days of my ministry on Usenet, nor on CERM's website condoning your sin
Kelly.
Kelly you are lost and need Christ.
The other intriguing issue is that John Wolf identifies himself as a
"staunch Calvinist", yet frequently on his website and here in the
usegroups he declares people that have been saved to no longer be saved
and on their way to "The Lake of Fire" (which Bible Bob concisely
pointed out in another topic was an improper concept in the context
used by Bible John). So that brings me to this question:
Bob denies the trinity, and denies Christ. Bob does not have a savior. Bob
will one day die, if Bob does not repent and find Christ.
How is it possible that John Wolf, a declared Calvinist, believes that
people can be saved but later LOSE THEIR SALVATION?
Where did I say this?
I ask because this
is totally contrary to Calvinist doctrine and is more along the line of
the Arminian concept of salvation! News-flash, John: Calvinists
believe in eternal security (John 10:26-30)!!!
Of coarse. Where did I say the contrary on my website?
So what gives John Wolf? Will you defend yourself or at least explain
why you seem to have conflicting viewpoints? Do you really understand
the nuances of Calvinist and Arminian theology?
I am not a scholar here, but I understand enough.
As Bible Bob pointed
out, you really don't have a good concept of Hell and Sheol and The
Lake of Fire, etc., etc. How were you able to graduate with a
Bachelor's Degree from Simpson University - a "LIBERAL" Arts college I
might add ("liberal" being another one of John's hates), a school that
has a fine tradition, a fabulous staff that teaches solid Christian
theology and puts out graduates who go on to be fine servants for the
Lord - WITHOUT KNOWING SO MANY B A S I C THINGS ABOUT THE BIBLE AND
CHRISTIANITY???

years. If I were you, I wouldn't publicly acknowledge
That I share any of his beliefs. Fred has some serious
people planning his demise here it seems, and you don't
need to be attracting that type of attention. Law enforcement
has more than enough to deal with now.
For those that have never met Fred, let me fill you in; you
either see if his way or stay twenty feet outside of his arms
reach. He is egotisical and arrogant with a hair trigger temper,
and abusive when you've found disfavor.

And a bit of personal insight for you. I was molested (gang raped) my
first time about age 7. The last time I was molested, it was by my
brother's best friend, and I was about 15. He got me drunk and...
So I have this much use = for molesters.
I'd castrate them, and then I'd fry them.
And then I'd feed 'em to the sharks.
BUT...
We have to TRY to overcome all that in the love of the Lord.
I'm not saying we'll succeed. But we're to try.
I have little use for homosexuals, but I remind myself that God loves

ON THE OTHER HAND, I absolutely believe in defending myself.
I had a guest over a few years ago. He had helped me move, and came
back to ask a favor, something he wanted me to do on my computer. The
technology was old, and it wasn't up to the task, and it was 2 AM, and
I was getting VERY tired.
I suggested we hit it another day, and he said, "I'll leave when you
finish."
I said, "Perhaps you didn't understand me. I'm done for the night!
We'll have to pick it up another day."
He said, "Perhaps you didn't understand ME. I'll leave when you're
done."
I got angry, and I got frightened. I said, "No, you're going to leave
right now."
He looked at me, and I have never seen a weirder look than his face.
He said, "And how do you intend to MAKE me leave?"
I jumped up from my computer as he sat there.
I walked over to my carry bag-- it goes with me everywhere--and I
grabbed my semi-automatic pistol and a clip of ammo. I jammed the clip
in, chambered a round, and cocked it, then let the safety off. I'd
practiced exactly this procedure a thousand times, so it took all of 3
seconds.
I turned as he began to realize what was going on, and I pointed the
gun at his head.
I said, "You have two choices, Ron. You can leave on two feet, or they
can carry you out."
Make a long story very short, he chose to leave alive. With a police
escort.
And they told me I was TOTALLY within my rights to have blown his head
off.
When I can't walk away, I WILL defend myself.
In this case, with BJ, you can walk away.
