True 'dat. :) If what I preach is correct, then the division is from God.
Not that He promotes division within the church, but He
does command that we correct those with false doctrines.
So if what I teach is correct, then I am doing exactly what
I should be doing.
Please Vera where do you get the notion that the Judgment by
God will be based on which *DOCTRINE* a person embraced
in his walk of faith?
From the Bible. Which doctrine we embrace is extremely
important! If the doctrine is incorrect, then he is not
walking in the faith that God ordained, right?
Depends on the doctrine, as there are many doctrines which do not contradict
God's plan of salvation, or that of living a life which Christ wants us to
live (even if otherwise totally wrong). Predictive prophecy (because not all
prophecy predicts things), is one of them... we can live a Christian-life,
and be Heaven bound even if we never look at prophecy, the only thing which
will result is that we will be surprised !
God will protect His own.
Thing is, I fear for many too absorved in prophecy, as they may be spending
too much time with prophecy, and failing to feed the hungry, to give to the
thirsty, to love their neighbors, etc. And even though they were
prophetically 'prepared' when it hits the fan, they are totally unprepared
where it counts !
IOWs Dave, Glenn, and the rest of you all buzzed about this issue, in spite
of the disagreements you have with each other over prophecy, IF all of you
are *living in Christ*, you can compare notes as concerning who was right or
wrong about the many prophetic events, after you meet each other *in Heaven*
and most likely laugh the whole thing off ! :-)
