Hello,
Yes, "Jesus of Nazareth" gave those commands to any who want to follow
him. But one look at the history of the churches of Christendom's
participation in this world's wars, shows that they follow their
political leaders instead of Jesus of Nazareth. But Jesus' true
followers REALLY DO follow his commands, such as "Love your enemies".
Thus if you are searching for Jesus' true followers, one thing to look
for is their neutrality concerning involvement in wars, since they
must show LOVE to their enemeies, not war weapons.
