If someone claims they had direct communion with the divine Spirit, and
aquired a knowledge of God and of spiritual things otherwise unattainable
by the natural intellect, would that not sound a great deal like the
Prophets of the OT?

And if principles, insight or faith are gained by meditation or a process
akin to intuition or sensing the Spirit, is it not better to judge that by
it's fruits and not just bluntly claim that it is impossible?
