Re: Christians, so you are saying that a person who was born into another religion
chooses hell? Refering to my other question most christians said that we
choose hell and god does not send us there. In the case of a person
born into another religion and raised in a non-christian nation does
that mean even though he was not taught it he goes to hell?
What about children who are non-christian? Do they go to hell too?

First of all, the BIBLE "hell" is not some 'hellfire' place, but is
the common grave of dead mankind. Thus when good or bad people die,
they go to hell. It is taken from the Hebrew word "sheol" and the
Greek word "hades". And it means the common grave of dead mankind. For
example, the World Book Encyclopedia under "hell" says,
"In Old Testament times, the Israelites believed that all the dead,
both good and evil, went to a dark, unhappy place called Sheol."
That is why the righteous man Job wanted to END his suffering by going
to hell. (dying, going to the grave) Job 14:13,
"O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, [sheol; hell] that thou
wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest
appoint me a set time, and remember me!" (KJV) [brackets mine]
Obviously, if "hell" was a literal hot and painful place, that is the
last place that Job would want to go to. But he knew from God's word
that it was cold and silent; the grave. And notice that the KJV
correctly translated the word "sheol" to mean what it really does; the
"grave".
But there will be a resurrection out of "hell". (the grave) Ac 24:15,
"and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a
resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked." (NIV)
That is why the Bible says that "hell" empties out its occupants. Re
20:13,
"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every
man according to their works." (KJV)
Thus going to "hell" is not punishment by God, but rather the natural
destination at this time for mortal humans.
Now concerning your remarks concerning people of other religions etc.
According to Jesus, in the last days (which Scripturally fits todays
world) there would be a global preaching activity by Jesus' true
servants. They would be preaching a "kingdom" message. Mt 24:14,
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as
a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (NIV)
This is being done as we speak. Thus God will be observing how those
people of other religions respond to His worldwide preaching campaign.
The Bible does not go into all the specific details concerning His
judgements, but believers can ALWAYS be sure that God is a righteous
and just God. De 32:4,
"The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful
God, without deceit, just and upright is he;" (NRSV)
