Definition of Evolution

Since the so-called experts on evolution cannot agree on just what it is
here is good definition:

Evolution is a philosophy trying to explain everything without God.

No, you've confused evolution with meteorology.
Evolution is the change in allele frequencies in a population over
time. Now, there are different theories among scientists over *how*
and *why* allele frequencies in a population change over time, and
there are still a few basically scientifically literate people who
dispute how great the change in alleles can be, given enough time
(e.g. you have young-earth creationists asserting that over 5000 years
cheetahs and housecats can evolve from a common ancestor, but over
5,000,000 years the lesser genetic differences between humans and
chimps can't arise from a common ancestor). But evolution is genetic
change over time within a population, and this is generally accepted.
Meteorology, in contrast, rejects the idea that rain is caused by God
opening the windows of the firmament. It denies that there even *are*
windows in the firmament. It attempts to explain droughts, floods,
lightning, etc. -- the traditional instruments of divine judgment --
in terms of purely natural forces acting on their own without intent.
Even plagues of locusts are attributed to the effects of "weather," a
closed naturalistic system without reference to miracles. The TV
weatherman is a deadly enemy of the faith!

Now you can fit almost all the silly definitions presented so far into
this over-all definition remembering that the key to all is "without
God". So whenever you hear someone spouting how intelligent they are by
proclaiming the "fact" of evolution just remember that you can replace
"evolution" with the term "God-haters" because they are the same.

Oddly, chemistry, geology, astronomy, physics, and, oh yes,
meteorology, all try to explain the phenomena within their purview
"without God." So I suppose you could just dismiss science itself
(and please note that this includes the forensic science so vital to
modern investigations of crimes and disasters) as "philosophy trying
to explain everything without God," and promulgated by "God haters"
who would never allow that, e.g. an aircraft crash was caused by a
miracle, or by demonic possession.
