Re: Did Even Eat an Apple, or Something Else?
In the Bible, the fruit that Eve ate in the Garden of Eden was not
specifically an apple. In the Koran, the sacred book of Islam, it is
called a banana. Some scientists believe the fruit may have been a
lemon, because edible apples did not yet exist in the time and place
of Eden. - from the Food section of www.odd-info.com
Hello,
True, since the Bible didn't mention the kind of fruit it was, we can
only speculate. What is most important though, is that we understand
the implications of her and Adam eating of it. By their act of
disobedience, suffering and death entered into the world of mankind.
Ro 5:12,
"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death
through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all
sinned" (NIV)
Sincerely, James
