Our churches, synagogues, temples, schools, governments, businesses,
and media outlets are being invaded by moral degenerates and heretics.
Even some Sunday School teachers and yeshiva rabbis are promoting
abortion, euthanasia, fornication, and homosexual marriage among the
children they instruct!
Speak up for Jesus. Speak up for God.
If you won't speak up for them, at least speak up for the children!
Hrrrmm…. Let’s see:
Abortion – respecting the right of a woman to make a choice about her own
body. Freedom of choice.
Euthanasia – respecting the right of a rational and lucid adult to end
terminal suffering at a time of his/her choice. Freedom of choice.
Fornication - consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not
married to each other. Hrmmm, if one (or both) of the consenting persons
are married to others, then no. However, I am not aware of any church,
synagogue, or temple advocating adultery. What church have you been
going to to hear this? Prime Source, please, not second or third hand
accounts.
Homosexual marriage – respecting the right of two consenting adults to be
joined in a recognized (by the state and church) union. Freedom of
choice.
Oh, I get it. You are against freedom of choice – unless the choice
coincides with your own narrow, out-dated beliefs.
Please join the 21st century and get your mind set out of the pre-Middle
Ages…. Or even earlier.

Pang,
Yes, freedom of choice. Right or wrong has nothing to do with it.
Freedom of choice transcends moral boundaries, so who needs morals.
Freedom of Choice: a suicide bomber wants to blow himself up along
with as many others as possible. Thus no one should try to stop him in
order to not step on his 'freedom of choice', right?
Obviously within a society, 'freedom of choice' cannot be absolute.
There must be some kind of boundaries. But who sets the boundaries?
Usually the government governing over that society. But those who
believe and go by the Bible, use the Bible's teachings first when it
comes to the boundaries for 'freedom of choice'. Thus as to your
comments above, here is the Bible's comments:
Abortion- The Bible considers an embryo to be a 'person', not a glob
of tissues etc. Ps 139:16,
"Your eyes could see my embryo. In your book all my days were
inscribed,
every one that was fixed is there." (NJB)
Euthanasia- God considers all life sacred, and anyone
taking or assisting in taking a life, is blood guilty. Ge 9:6,
"Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for
in the image of God has God made man." (NIV)
However, the Bible has nothing to say about trying to prolong the
natural dying process. Thus if a terminally ill patient wanted all the
artificial means of keeping him alive removed, the Bible would have no
problem with that since he would have died anyway without them.
Fornication- The Bible allows sex between man and woman only in the
marriage arrangement. 1 Co 6:18,
"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but
he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." (ASV)
Homosexual marriage- The Bible clearly prohibits homosexuality. Ro
1:26,27,
"26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their
women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, 27 and the men
likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with
passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and
receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error." (RSV)
Thus it appears that there is one 'set of rules' for the governments,
and another for the Bible. That is one reason why Jesus told his true
servants to be "no part of the world". (Joh 15:19) God's true servants
go by the Bible's rules first, and anything else second. Yes, they
must "obey God rather than men". (Ac 5:29)
So don't be so shocked when you see that.
Sincerely, James

The question is not does freedom of choice morals; the question is whose
morals? Yours? Mine?
Muslims? Jews?
As the USA is a democracy, the majority rules. Constituents (supposedly)
tell their representatives and use their votes to have the people whose
moral positions most closely match theirs elected.
Abortion? Don't like it? Don't get one.
Euthanasia? Don't like it? Fine, let some doctor who agrees with you
let you die in diapers, with bedsores, your mind destroyed - but not
enough to not feel pain. Your choice.
Fornication? Don't commit it.
Homosexual marriage? Don't marry one.
Freedom of Choice: a suicide bomber wants to blow himself up along

Stupid question. All societies outlaw murder.
Obviously within a society, 'freedom of choice' cannot be absolute.

1. In a democratic society, the people set the boundaries. If you live
in a democracy, deal with it.
2. Use the bible if YOU wish; don't demand I use it.
Irrelevant material *snipped*
Thus it appears that there is one 'set of rules' for the governments,
and another for the Bible.
Yep - one set of rules for the majority of people - another for those who
want to live in the Bronze Age. It is a matter of choice. Don't you
find it frustrating when people reject your beliefs?
So don't be so shocked when you see that.
I am shocked by very little..... except the blindness of men - the
clinging to the belief that their whitened walls really do mask the inner
corruption.... that their own interpretation of the bible is the correct
one despite its lack of compassion, tolerance, empathy, or any humanity.
