us pesky atheists then?

Hello,
Suppose you went into a store that had all kinds of machines etc. Do
you conclude that the store building and its varied machine contents
just popped into existence over time? Of course not.
Well, think of earth as a kind of 'store' containing quite a variety
of machines. Many reasoning people just cannot accept the fact that no
intelligence was involved in making and placing those machines in that
earth 'store'. It would be more reasonable for them to believe that an
intelligent alien civilization visited this earth and designed and
built all the biological machines on this planet, than random chance
produced such sophisticated machines etc.
I am surprised that atheists should at least concede that reasoning
shows that complex things such as automobiles etc, have a maker, and
not criticize those who believe natures 'machines' also have a maker.
I would think they would say that, yes, such a belief sounds
reasonable, but I just believe otherwise etc.
At any rate for many of us, the proof of God is all around us with His
handiwork. The Bible uses a similar analogy with a house. Heb 3:4,
"For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is
God." (NASB)

But we aren't talking about that are we?
You see we CAN explain the development and construction of those mchines
and the building that houses them by the actions of conscious, thinking,
inventive man. We can explain the rise of his intelligence through
evolutionary processes - there really is NO problem of a "scientific
explanation" here
You might like to claim that this ability to evolve is built into the
original design of the first cells - I don't have any problem with that.
You might even claim that at this point the design of the DNA or its
precursor is a divine construction. That does not worry me either for I
know that as far as the Creation of matter and the creation of life are
concerned you know as much as I do - precisely NOTHING. All you are doing
is articulating emotion based fantasies
What does concern me is that you seek to ridicule the very intelligence
that is evolution - and perhaps in one view of "divine design", GOD'S
greatest achievement. You seek to cut out the role of consciousness, of
the slow but accelerating process of the developing of human technology
from the age of fire to the present day and beyond
When Jesus walked this Earth the highest technological achievements were
probably the use of concrete and the invention of the ballista - the
catapult that could hurl a rotting carcase into a besieged town. Mankind
now is on the verge of a cure for cancer and other diseases and is
planning a trip to Mars.. No switch was thrown bringing these achivements
instantaneously into existence - We know the process that brought them
about
A digital computer - or a vacuum cleaner - is hardly a great arguement for
the existence of a creating God. And your apparent attack on the long
established fact of evolution on the basis that it is not designed to
consider or explain the creation of matter and life is as silly as you
trying to change a car tyre using a food mixer. and then complaining that
the food mixer didn't work

Yep, maybe ; but I agree with him and maybe I am silly also; but I don't see
irreducibly complex biological machines coming into existence when any of
the parts that it contain could not have been built up by incremental steps,
and to paraphrase Darwin "If any irreducibly complex organism can be found
which can not be shown to be able to be built up from small steps, it will
completely contradict my theory and prove it implausible". Of course Darwin
had no microscope capable of showing such a thing as a bacterium with a
flagellum motor that is made of just such parts and are part of the movement
system that is irreducibly complex and NONE of the parts could have come
from any other biological entity, and that is only ONE point that blows
evolution out of the water. I would much rather be silly then to believe a
silly theory such as evolution. I am not saying that *after* creation that
things didn't continue to adapt; because God built that in; but just as when
God created Adam and Eve and every other creation as mature adults, God also
created the earth as an * adult * planet.

I'm highly suspect of this flagellum motor discovery, mainly because it was
discovered by Christian scientists.
Why would God make every swimming creature with fins and flippers and only
one tiny bacterium with a motor?
It makes no sense. Only a Christian would fall for something like that so
quickly after it came out.

I would much rather be silly then to believe a silly theory such as
evolution.

At least its a theory. The creation story is just a story. Theories outrank
stories.
Besides, the true evolution theory doesn't even address the issue of how
life started in the universe, just the evolution of it. We don't know how
life started so just be honest and admit it.

I am not saying that *after* creation that things didn't continue to
adapt; because God built that in; but just as when God created Adam and
Eve and every other creation as mature adults, God also created the earth
as an * adult * planet.

You mean Adam and Eve weren't even given a childhood in which to mature?
No wonder they screwed up. How short sighted of God. Can't blame them for
that.

Just like everyone maniacal person in history, when faced with true
faith,
you try and say they have to not have read the same books as you; because
they didn't come up with the same conclusions as you, what a self serving
pile of horse crap. I think what it is, is that you are so miserable
because you lost you faith that you have convinced your self that anyone
that doesn't think like you can NOT have read the same books; because of
course your conclusion from reading them is the ONLY conclusion. Grow up
mentally and realize that not everyone comes to the same conclusion;
because
some have found the truth and no matter how much you would like it
otherwise
you can not change the truth.

Adam and Eve is still a myth after your little tirade

I am starting to think your problem is that you would rather it have been
"Adam and Steve", and because you can not justify it with the bible, then
the bible must be wrong. You see I was re-reading some of your earler posts
and maybe I mised that earler when you were spouting off about same sex
partners.

Your faith is CRAP if it cannot survive the bleeding obvious

What is obvious is you wanting it to all be a lie so bad that you are
pulling at strawas to try and make it so.

You poor thing

financially most certainly, faith wise, just the opposite

I think you should perhaps talk to a rabbi.

Why would I want to talk to someone from a faith different then my own?

You have certainly lost the plot

now in your wildest dreams

Adam and Eve is a myth, stupid

Oh well at least we have exposed another creationist fuckwit
masquerading
as someone who once read a book

If you ever want to try the hinge is on the left

If the words are upside down then you have no need to run round it to
the
other side

You can simply rotate it through 180degrees in either direction -
clockwise or anticlockwise

But keep the pages with words on them facing upwards.

It appears our little cyber Knight is unable to confirm that Adam and Eve
is a myth and has to resort to sick sexual innuendo
So we move on to another myth Noahs Flood and see if he has the guts to
affirm that that one is a myth
Or will we get the "its a matter of faith shite again" and the nonsense
about how "you can't prove there wasn't a floating zoo filled with
millions of crapping animals so there MAY have been one and we have to
accept there was because the Bible says so"
Oh brother
Ding dong
Time to feed the dingo
and the Kangaroo
And the wallaby
and the poteroo
and the possum and the wombat
none of which except perhaps the dingo were apparently "on the ark"
because NO marsupial bones have been found in the middle east.
(or was it the medication bell for looney fundies)

Your God is less complex than automobiles, and consequently we can
believe that he has no maker?
Or perhaps he is eternal? And would that be more likely than that the
world is eternal?

I would think they would say that, yes, such a belief sounds
reasonable, but I just believe otherwise etc.

At any rate for many of us, the proof of God is all around us with His
handiwork. The Bible uses a similar analogy with a house. Heb 3:4,

"For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is
God." (NASB)

And the maker of God is .... a supergod?

Sincerely, James
