I agree with what you are saying.
To the readers of A.C.C: This is why I take offense to Benny Hinn's
ministry. Not just his ministry, but the ministry of ANYONE who
declares they have a Prophecy from God and that prophecy is not
fulfilled. This is not limited to Charismatic/Pentecostal preachers,
though admittedly many leaders of those denominations are the ones
that speak the loudest.
Many people will point to the fruits of these charlatans, but even
Jesus Christ warned us about these False Prophets:
Matthew 24:23 'Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here 'is' the
Christ! or here! ye may not believe; 24 for there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and
wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
"Also the chosen" is a key word here. Ask yourselves if you are being
deceived. Many feed off of the ministries of Hinn, Hagin, Kennedy,
ect... and they have all made false prophesies. Is False Prophecy a
fruit of the Spirit??? Make no mistake about it, anyone that makes a
false prophesy is a false prophet. If any of you are feeding off
their ministries please consider the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew
24:23. Don't think to yourselves, "No, not me! I'm not being led
astray!"
The "fruits" of these ministries are nothing more than the signs and
wonders that Jesus Christ warned us about. The Holy Spirit does not
inspire false prophesies.
Michael is correct in what he is basically saying. It's one thing to
have a mistake in your teaching based in incomplete study of
scripture. However, Prophesies are considered to come from the God
Most High through an individual. God does not make mistakes and God
does not lie.
Deuteronomy 18:22 that which the prophet speaketh in the name of
Jehovah, and the thing is NOT, and cometh NOT -- it is the word which
Jehovah hath NOT spoken; in PRESUMPTION hath the prophet spoken it; --
thou art not
afraid of him.
Hinn, Hagee, Kennedy, and the rest of making presumptions and passing
them off as Prophecy. That is blasphemy and an insult to the real
prophets who were KILLED for their real prophesies. If they are wrong
in the spirit in prophesy, then everything else that follows is wrong
and not of God....including the so-called "fruits".
I see what you are saying about prophecy.
