Mmmm ... WHATSOEVER!!!!

Please explain how a Mercedes Benz is *In His Name*; it isn't some magic
words, rather it is a requirement... think about it

You just add "In Jesus name, Amen." to the end of your prayer and hey
presto! you get whatever you want. A Slot Machine God!!!! ... that's my
interpretation of this fundamentalist silliness.

Sadly, too many, even among believers, misunderstand this just as you have.
Biblically, a person's *name* "In my name I vow" or whatever, is that of
whatever one stands for, his/her reputation, honor, etc
Praying for something counter to who Jesus is, is NOT "praying *in His name*
EVEN if you were to *add "In Jesus name, Amen." to the end of your prayer*

Amen:
To pray for a selfish thing and add Jesus name to it is more counterfeit
than making jeans and adding Levi's name to them. Even the demons know this.
Acts 19: 13 then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to
call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, we
adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth, 14 And there were seven sons of
Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit
answered and said; Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the
man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, so that
they fled out of the house naked and wounded. 17 And this was known to
all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all,
and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
Also: Acts 8: 9-24 It appears to be very dangerous to step on Holy
Ground without removing the sandals of selfishness.
We need to know, understand, and respect the difference between
authority and power.
When congress passes a law which requires the expenditure of money the law
has no power until they also pass a law appropriating the required money.
When someone trespasses on someone else's property he is exercising
power without authority. When a person invokes the name "Lord Jesus Christ"
and is not in right relationship with God which is attained by receiving the
Holy Spirit, he is invoking the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ. Which
he has no right to do. And therefore his words are absolutely powerless.
People who do so think of themselves as cordless tools. whereas those who
know God and have a right relationship with him know that they must be
connected to the power source in order to have any effect. John 15: 5
Without me ye can do nothing. Rom. 8: 9 Now if any man have not the Spirit
of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8: 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba
Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the
children of God.

Thats the trouble with mankind...We think we "know it all," we know what's best
for us not God don't we????
If you want a Mercedes then go in debt up to your eye balls and get it!
Then take a second job to pay for the insurance...you'll have to have full
coverage you know, after all you're making payments!
