Re: It's man's fault... don't blame God. |

the typical antichrist God hater posting objections to the things of
God is exposing what is in the heart of unregenerate man all along...
' I'm not responsible for my sins ' ... the exact same reply Eve
gave to God when she blamed the serpent... the exact same reply Adam
gave when he blamed Eve.
unlike objectionable posters, these two parents of ours were
respectable enough and responsible enough not to blame God who created
them.
God warned our first parents beforehand what would happen should
they take from the Tree forbidden them. but, they didn't obey and
thus fell out with God.
man today is no different that our first parents. what God Almighty
requires is written in a Book for all to see and our responsibility is
to hear and obey, but we don't. the consequences of rebelling against
God are spelled out in the Bible... there's no excuse when acting
contrary.
the ground is cursed because of this free will act of our first
parents so it's no excuse to blame God for the maladies which befall
all of us, such as horrible disease, war, famine and the like ( Ez.
14:12-20 ) man's willful rebellion is the cause of God's judgement
against sin... as it was in the Garden... as it is today.

" believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved "
Acts 16:31
" and as many as had been appointed to eternal life, believed."
Acts 13:48
This would seem to show a lack of you remebering where your God claims
responsibiltity for the Evil of this world for example Amos 3:6 "Shall there
be evil in the City and the Lord hath not done it?" or 1Samual 18:10 "the
evil Spirit from God came upon Saul", Lamentations 3:38 "Out of the mouth of
the most High proceedeth not evil and good?" All of this points to your God
being the creator of Evil so why do you always wish to blame your other God
Satan?
Hello,
First of all, nothing in the Bible says that God CREATED evil; i.e,
using the English definition of "morally bad; wrong; sinful; wicked."
(World Book Dictionary)
But what about those verses that seem to talk about God sending evil
to someone etc, like your examples above? Sometimes a better
translation can help to clear things up for you. For instance let's
look at your quote of Amos 3:6 above. If you quoted the KJV it reads
again:
"Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?
shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?"
But notice the upgrade to the KJV, the NKJV:
"If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If
there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?"
Here the word "evil" is replaced by the word "calamity" (and many
other translations do a similar thing here). Now things become
clearer. Yes, when God brings judgements upon people for their
wickedness, it might come in the form of a "calamity" of some kind
etc.
But at times, even good translations use the word "evil" in connection
with God. So that begs the question, does the BIBLE'S definition of
"evil" always mean a bad thing? Remember, we looking at the Bible's
words which in the OT were in Hebrew and Aramaic, not English words.
If you are really after the truth on this matter, then please read the
following paragraph: (otherwise, continue in the course of Biblical
darkness)
"The Meaning of Jehovah's Bringing Evil.
Rightly, Jehovah brought evil or calamity upon Adam for his
disobedience. Hence, in the Scriptures, Jehovah is referred to as the
Creator of evil or calamity. (Isa 45:7; compare KJV.) His enforcing of
the penalty for sin, namely, death, has proved to be an evil, or a
calamity, for mankind. So, then, evil is not always synonymous with
wrongdoing. Examples of evils or calamities created by Jehovah are the
Flood of Noah's day and the Ten Plagues visited upon Egypt. But these
evils were not wrongs. Rather, the rightful administration of justice
against wrongdoers was involved in both cases. However, at times
Jehovah, in his mercy, has refrained from bringing the intended
calamity or evil in execution of his righteous judgment because of the
repentance on the part of those concerned. (Jon 3:10) Additionally, in
having a warning given, Jehovah has undeservedly provided
opportunities for the practicers of bad to change their course and
thus to keep living.-Eze 33:11." (Insight on the Scriptures, Vol. 1,
p. 772.)
As it says in the article, with the Bible "evil is not always
synonymous with wrongdoing." If the Bible wants to use that word that
way, do we have the right to say it cannot?
Another example is found at Ex 32:14 (KJV). In that case, the
Israelites made a molten image and started to worship it. This was
detestable to God, especially since He had just done good to them by
having them released from Egyptian bondage and was bringing them into
a land flowing with "milk and honey". Moses softened the face of God
and thus spared some "stiff-necked" Israelites. (Ex 32:9-13)
Of course today, our use of the English word is usually thought of in
the negative sense, not in the sense of dispensing justice. (or some
other meanings we didn't go into here) So if you just keep these
things in mind, you will get a better understanding of what it really
means when God brings "evil" to someone, and not be so quick to equate
with with the meanings of the English word "evil".
Also, one more quick thought here. What about those Bible writers who
wrote the word "evil" in those verses. If the Bible is a bunch of
hooey written by men, that would be stupid to praise God as kind and
merciful etc in one breath, and then in the other, to claim He does
evil things. They could have easily left those words out, and then we
would not even be having this conversation. But they didn't. That is
because the source thoughts in the Bible come from God, not from men.
(again see 2 Ti 3:16) So we have to go by the way God uses words, not
the way men do.
Sincerely, James
