We will soon be launching our global JWDoNotCall Predator Registry.
I'm sure you'll agree that you don't want sexual predators calling at
your door which the Society protects as is confirmed by they recent
settlement of 16 abuse cases which were covered up. Be on the look out
for this FREE global service. We'll be all over the media in the near
future.
Christian cheers!
you call that christian cheer
Why not? He's protecting innocent children from possible pedophiles at the
door - wolves in sheep's clothing carrying bibles no less.
Hello,
True, there were some problems within the JW organization. I challenge
you to find ANY large organization comprising of millions, who have
perfect humans that never do no wrong.
Here are some facts to consider. As their press release initially
reported:
"In the United States, over 80,000 elders currently serve in over
12,300 congregations. (Acts 20:28) During the last 100 years, only
eleven elders have been sued for child abuse in thirteen lawsuits
filed in the United States..."
Although each case is a bad wrongdoing and the JW organization said
"Our hearts go out to all those who suffer as a result of child
abuse", the amount of cases mentioned above hardly constitutes an
organization of "sexual predators", as the poster above wrongly
implied.
Also, unlike some religion organizations, JW's expel any unrepentant
wrongdoers, regardless of the sin. (for example, see 1 Co 5:12)
Also, were those cases mentioned by the poster "covered up"? If you
mean did the JW organization break the law in some way, the answer is
no. If the law in the area the offense occurred required that they
notify the authorities, then they would have to do that based on Ro
13:1 and Titus 3:1 etc. As their press release stated:
"Congregation elders comply with child abuse reporting laws. (Mark
12:17; Romans 13:1) We do not silence victims. Our members have an
absolute right to report this horrible crime to the authorities."
So if you were not aware of these facts, I hope you will take them
into consideration the next time.
Sincerely, James
