Re: Jesus has returned |
Hi Paul,
I checked out your blog. It's quite a step to go from being an Atheist
to believing you are God. I saw where you wrote you'd had alot of hits
but wanted input whether positive or negative. So here's mine as a
Christian, maybe we can all learn in the process.
I am the second coming of Jesus. I know this because:
I know you are not. Because THUS SAITH THE REAL LORD:"Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
because many false prophets are gone out into the world." "Now the
Spirit
speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the
faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils:" To
the
law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it
is because there is no light in them." "Behold, ye trust in lying
words,
that cannot profit." 1Jo 4:1, 1Ti 4:1 Jer 7:8
See the plain proof in the scriptures here and in the following post,
regarding the second coming of Christ.
You claim you were told to write your own bible, this is clearly not
according to the law and testimony. Jesus is identified in that written
word as the same word of God made flesh.
Think! without that word no one would know who Jesus was or
even about any first or second coming.
1. I have a miracle, documented at www.moatazilla.org .
And? Jesus Christ revealled that with faith the size of a mustard seed,
if there was a need and it according to the Almighty's will, we could
move a Mountain. The Patriarchs, prophets and Apostles had miracles too
and never claimed to be Christ, nor did Jesus Christ himself offer
miracles as proof of who he was, even when asked.
WHY? Satan does miracles too:
"For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth
will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked
be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth,
and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:Even him, whose
coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying
wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they
might
be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that
they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed
not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves
into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if
his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works."
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the
dragon,[Satan] and out of the mouth of the beast,[Rome] and out of the
mouth of the false prophet.[apostate Protestantism] For they are the
spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of
the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that
great day of God Almighty." 2Th 2: 6 -12, 2Cr 11:13-15, Rev 16:13-14
2. I received revelations shortly after the miracle.<
You aren't the only one. There is also Dore on the Newsgroups and
Michael Christ and a host of others...all small potatos compared to THE
Antichrist himself. BUT WE WERE WARNED.
"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there;
believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you
before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the
desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it
not. FOR AS LIGHTENING COMETH OUT OF THE EAST AND SHINETH TO THE WEST,
SO SHALL THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE. Mat 24:23 -27
3. I have done everything in my power to fix this earth,
especially with regards to ending human rights abuses.
HINT: " everything in YOUR power" AND the earth is not fixed. You may be
doing everything you can possibly do, but are plainly limitted by your
humanity. You require others to do as you say to accomplish anything.or
be in power.God doesn''t require us to give him power. Despite what you
have done human rights violations abound and will grow much worse
before Jesus returns. In fact, we are told " For then shall be great
tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened,
there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days
shall be shortened." "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the
great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there
shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation
[even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many
of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to
everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt. And
they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and
they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever
--Mat 24:21, 22, Dan 12:1 -3
God is all powerfull and with him all things are possible, and He will
actually put an end to human rights abuses at the real second coming,
when this earth and it's heaven will be destroyed, not fixed. Later (
1000 yrs later) he will create a New earth. Sin will not rise again.
I can prove 1 and 3, but not 2.<
The real Jesus When asked if He was the Son of the Blessed, said "I AM:
and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and
coming in the clouds of heaven." ":I can of mine own self do nothing:
as
I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own
will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me" "All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth." I know thy works, and charity,
and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last
[to be] more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things
against
thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself
a
prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication,
and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent
of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into
a
bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation,
except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with
dea
th; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the
reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to
your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many
as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of
Satan,
as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye
have
already hold fast till I come." In my Father's house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and
receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." "And,
behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man
according as his work shall be." .
"Matt 28:18, Jhn 5:30, Mark 14:16, Rev 2:19-22 , Jhn 14:2 ,3, Rev
22:12
You know Satan wants to be like God, he wants to be Jesus Christ, and
his original temptation to man in the garden of Eden tempted him with
the same things, "You will be as God's". It appears you need to humble
yourself and repent, as you are echoing Satan, and his prophesied end
along with his children is not gonna give him any glory. He knows his
prophesied end and that his time is short and he's takin down everyone
he possibly can with him.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how]
art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For
thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt
my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the
congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the
heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit They
that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, [and] consider thee,
[saying, Is] this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did
shake
kingdoms;[That] made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the
cities
thereof; [that] opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of
the nations, [even] all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own
house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch,
[and as] the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a
sword,
that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast
destroyed
thy land, [and] slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be
renowned. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their
fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face
of the world with cities. For I will rise up against them, saith the
LORD
of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and
nephew, saith the LORD. I will also make it a possession for the
bittern,
and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction,
saith the LORD of hosts. The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely
as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed,
[so] shall it stand
What is the Second Coming of Christ gonna be like?
Very Loud, Very Visual and very Emotional. He is coming back to this
Earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords in all his unveiled glory, to
render judgment, and to get his people, but his feet will never touch
this Earth. The saints , both those who remain alive till then and
those who are resurrected will rise to meet him in the air.

There are no scientifically-verifiable miracles in

WHY? Satan does miracles too:
There is no Satan, only God. The "evil" in humans
is nothing more than our genes at work. We are
selfish predators by nature. God has arranged for
it to look like we are the products of evolution.

I am spending my time in IRC encouraging people

will FIGHT SUBJUGATION.

One of these nights, suddenly a bright, dazzling light will appear in
the sky, the likes of which men have never seen or even imagined. The
heavens will be split wide open and rolled back like a scroll and there
coming in power and majesty and glory will be Jesus, the King of Kings.
I read this from the Bible. Revelation 6:14 and 14:14. "And the
heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every
mountain and island were moved out of their places. And I looked, and
behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of
Man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand, a sharp
sickle." That will be the night when all men and women everywhere
face God. For some, it will be the saddest moment of all time, for they
will be unprepared and lost. For others, it will be the beginning of
all joy and gladness. Which will it be with you?
There are some Bible students today who do not believe that Jesus is
coming back to this earth the second time. But friends, I believe that
we have reached such a crucial hour that every single one of us must
hinge his or her faith upon this book. I don't think there is
anything else safe anywhere. We must get back to this book. And if it
is in the Bible we ought to say, "That's it." If not, we ought to
reject it. I want to call your attention to the Bible and what the
Bible says about the second coming of Christ. I would like to read you
one verse that will forever settle the question. Hebrews 9:28. Listen.
"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them
that look for Him shall He appear the second time." It is so plain
and so clear and so positive, there is no escaping it. He shall appear
the second time. You know, if there were one little tiny phrase in the
Bible that mentioned some great person in the world today, that phrase
would be seized upon and immediately he would be exalted and acclaimed
the man of the hour, the man of destiny. But, you know, there are three
hundred unmistakable predictions of the second coming of the wonderful
man, Jesus, in the New Testament alone. Of the twenty-seven books in
the New Testament, twenty-three speak of the second coming of Jesus. Do
you know that one verse out of every twenty-five all the way through
the New Testament speaks of the coming of Jesus? Oh, what abundant
evidence that He is coming back again! It is proof positive!
You say, "Well, what did Jesus Himself say about it?" I would like
to read for you a wonderful promise in John 14. "Let not your heart
be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's
house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go
to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again." Ah, dear friend, let me ask you a question. Did
Jesus go away? What about it? Certainly we all know that
well-established fact. Jesus did go away. He said, "If I go away, I
will come again." We have His own word of honor that He is coming
back. Yes, there is no question about that, He is coming back. But the
question is this, how is He coming? In what manner?
I have heard a great many theories about this. I would like to mention
a few of them today. You have heard them, I am sure. I mention six. One
belief is that Jesus' coming is going to be a spiritual thing. Some
believe that when you are converted, that is the coming of Christ. Some
people believe that it takes place when a man dies. That is the second
coming of Christ. Others say, "No, it is just figurative and it will
be manifest by better conditions in the world." And then a great many
people believe that He is going to appear again in person and walk
around on the earth, and do the same miracles in the same way that He
did over nineteen hundred years ago. Then there is a group that believe
that He has already come. Forty years ago Jesus came the second time,
they tell us. Also, there is a belief that's growing all the time
that His second coming is to be secret. He will come all right, but it
will be a secret coming and many, many people will know nothing of it.
Some time ago in Brooklyn an evangelist was preaching to a great
congregation of about four thousand people, and he said to these folk,
"You know, I should not be at all surprised to wake up some morning
and find that Jesus had already come, and that He was in London, or Los
Angeles, or Calcutta, or Buenos Aires." Perhaps you are saying,
"Don't see what difference it makes." What difference does it
make? Why is it necessary that I know "how" He is going to come, as
long as I believe that He will come? I'll tell you. The reason is
this. It is important because Satan is going to deceive most people
into believing that Jesus has already come back when He hasn't come
back. Then, when He really does come back, they will be surprised and
lost. Now let's prove that from the Bible.
I would like to invite your attention to Matthew 24. I begin reading
with verse 3. "And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples
came unto Him privately saying, Tell us, when shall these things be?
and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the
world?" You see, they came to Him because they had heard Him say that
He was coming back again, and they said, "Tell us a little more about
it." I would like you to note what Jesus said immediately in answer
to that question. "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed
that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name saying, I am
Christ; and shall deceive many." Notice what He pointed out. He said,
"Before we begin to talk about my coming, let me sound the warning.
There are going to be false Christs and false prophets arise. There
will be men arise who say they are Christ, and people will believe it
and be deceived into following somebody who is not Christ, so that when
he really does come back they will be unprepared and lost."
Now I can just hear some one say, "I don't believe there is any
danger of anybody being deceived that way." But here is a very solemn
thought. Christ the Saviour of the world thought that there was danger
of people being deceived on that point. In Matthew 24, speaking of His
second coming, He said over and over again, "Be careful that no one
deceives you into thinking that I've come when I have not come." I
thought we would read a few of those verses and comment on them a
little. Verse 23: "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is
Christ, or there; believe it not." If someone says Christ is over
here, you don't need to go over there and look and say "I will
decide after I see him." You can say, I don't believe it, because
that is what your Master said for you to do. Exactly that!
Some time ago in California there was a man who suddenly appeared. No
one seemed to know where he came from. He had a long, white, flowing
robe; a beautiful white beard and long white hair. Oh, what a musical
voice he had. He preached to the people and said, "I am Christ." He
sounded to the people as if he might be Christ. He spoke some of the
same wonderful truths that Jesus used to preach, and they were having a
wonderful time. Then one day he appeared on the street and a great
group of people were around him. They heard some singing off in the
distance. They looked and down the street the Salvation Army was
coming, and they were singing this old song, "I shall know Him, I
shall know Him, by the print of the nails in His hand." And that is
good Bible doctrine. So somebody went up to him and said, "Show us
the nail prints." Do you know what happened? He vanished in the
crowd. He wasn't Christ. The Lord said that if they say he is over
here or over there, don't you believe it.
Verse 24. "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
Did you hear about the man not so long ago in the East, the miracle
working man? It was a marvelous thing. A newspaper reporter was
skeptical. They had been saying, "He is wonderful, he claims to be
Christ and he does wonderful things." So this newspaper reporter
said, "I don't believe that. That is ridiculous. Somebody is
nervously upset." So he went out with his pen and his pad, and he
followed him around. And this man who claimed to be Christ suggested
that they go out in the country, and they did. A storm came up, and
fireballs leaped out of the clouds and rolled around and the reporter
thought, "This is no place for me." He said, "Let's go back
home." And this man who was supposed to be Christ said, "Oh, you
forget. You are in the presence of Christ. I control the elements."
Then he said, "Peace, be still." And there was a great calm. They
walked along together; and, as the reporter told it, they came to a
river. This man raised his hands, and the river parted and they walked
right across on dry ground. They stacked some brush in the river-bed
and this man raised his hand again and fire came down and devoured it.
Oh, all sorts of wonderful things, and the reporter wrote an article
about it, and he was very much amazed. But the Lord said there would be
things like that.
May I counsel and warn you right here on the authority of this book,
don't be deceived into believing that a miracle proves that a thing
is divine. It doesn't. Not necessarily. A miracle proves that there
is supernatural power involved, but remember that Satan has
supernatural power. Revelation 16:14 says, for they are spirits of
devils, working miracles." Christ Himself said there are going to
arise false Christs, and false prophets, and He didn't say they will
think to do miracles. He said that they will do them. "Great signs
and wonders in so much that if it were possible they would deceive the
very elect." So it makes no difference what happens, if you should go
down town some day and there on the street should be a glorious being
and he began to preach and say, "I am Christ, I can heal people."
Don't you believe that that person is Christ because his own book
says no. I want to tell you in just a few minutes why it cannot be, and
how you can know when He does come.
Verse 26. A little more counsel. "Wherefore if they shall say unto
you, Behold he is in the desert; go not forth; behold, he is in the
secret chambers; believe it not." Why is it that every time a man
arises out on the desert, people flock out there by the thousands? Why?
The Lord said not even to go. "Or if they say He is in the secret
chambers, believe it not." Now, perhaps that has never happened to
you but there is an organization called "spiritism." It is growing
by leaps and bounds and is an exceedingly dangerous thing. They will
tell you, "You come over to my house tonight. We'll go down in the
basement, turn the lights down low; and when everything is just right,
Christ will come into this secret chamber." Ah, the Lord says don't
you believe it. He doesn't work that way.
Now verse 27. "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and
shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be." There will be nothing secret about it. When I was a little
fellow, I used to be terribly afraid of lightning. I don't know why
to this day, but I was. At night it seemed as though the lightning
would just go across the sky and I couldn't shut it out. I'd cover
up my head and I could still see it. I'd pull the pillow over, and
then I would nearly suffocate. It is hard to get away from. And there
is nothing secret about it. Jesus said, "So shall My coming be."
In verse 25 He said, "Behold, I have told you before." In other
words, He said to His disciples, I am telling you now. I am warning you
so when it comes you will not be deceived and go after some miracle
worker or man that claims to be Christ. Now those are Christ's own
words. The danger is this: we may believe we are following Christ. We
may believe He has come when He has not come. Then when He does come,
we will be greatly surprised and terribly lost.
Today we search deeper into the Bible to determine more about the
manner of that glorious event.
Let me give you a scripture that will forever settle the question of
how He is going to come. It is a wonderful text in Acts 1:9-11: "And
when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked
steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them
in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye
gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into
heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into
heaven."
You see, this was after the resurrection of Jesus. For forty days Jesus
was with the disciples, and one day he said, "Come along." And He
led them out through the countryside until finally they came to a
little hill near Bethany. He was talking to them there, telling them
some of the things important in the kingdom of God. Only His closest
disciples were there. As He was talking to them, suddenly they noticed
that His feet began to leave the ground. They looked at one another as
if to say, "What's happening?" He was going up. They stood there
speechless because He went higher, higher and higher until, the
scripture says, a cloud received Him out of their sight. Can't you
picture them? There was the Hope of the church. He founded it, and
there He was, going away, disappearing into thin air. The poor
disciples stood there trembling looking up just as far as they could,
and finally a cloud just received Him out of their sight. I can picture
them as they turned to one another, and then they noticed that standing
beside them were two men in white apparel: angels,"Which also said,
Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing into heaven? this same Jesus
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."
Friends, if that was all we had, it would be enough to tell us how He
is coming back. How did He go away? Let's analyze it for a moment.
POINT ONE: He went away in a cloud. He is coming back the same way.
POINT TWO: He was visible. They saw Him. There He was, going up, up,
up; and they were amazed. He will be visible when He returns, because
the angels said so. POINT THREE: He will be real, bodily personal. I
love that. He will be a real, lovely, personal Jesus. So many people
have said, "Well, after the resurrection He was a ghost; He was a
spirit." Don't you believe that. I invite your attention to Luke
24. We have here the story of Christ's meeting with His disciples
AFTER the resurrection. You remember they thought He was dead. He came
into the room and they were terrified and afrighted and supposed they
had seen a spirit. They thought they were seeing a ghost. So He said to
them, "Men, take hold of me. A ghost doesn't have flesh and bones
as you see me have." And they took hold, and they still couldn't
believe. Read it for yourself in Luke 24:39 and onward. So He said,
"Just give me something to eat." They gave Him some fish and a
honeycomb, and He ate it; proving that He was not a spirit, not a
ghost, because it is a well-known fact that spirits do not eat. It will
be that same Jesus, that One who led them out to Bethany and went up;
flesh and bones-a real, personal Jesus.
Now let me review these points. He is coming back in a cloud. He's
coming back so you can see Him. He's going to be real, bodily
personal, on the authority of this Book. Who is going to see Him? Let
me read you the text, in Revelation 1:7: "Behold, he cometh with
clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced
him." I don't know how any combination of words could make it any
plainer. Every single eye is going to see Him. Dear friends, a person
may not even like that, but he is going to see Him. You may be an
infidel, and deny the existence of God altogether, but you are going to
see Jesus come back. You may be working down in the iron mines in the
heart of the earth; but, at that moment when He appears, you will see
Jesus. You won't tune in to Channel 6 or Channel 4 and have them say,
"Flash! We interrupt all programs. Jesus has come back!" No. If you
are living, you will see Jesus with your own eyes.
You say, "Well now, what about the wicked people that are living when
Jesus comes back? Will they see Him?" Matthew 24:30 answers: "And
then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall
all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man
coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." It says
"all the tribes of the earth." I would like to note something else.
The Bible even tells us what the wicked are going to say when He comes
back and they are not ready. Revelation 6:14-17: "And the heaven
departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and
island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and
the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty
men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens
and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks,
Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the
throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath
is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
Another fact about His coming is found in Matthew 25:31. Notice how
clear and plain all these things are in the Bible. "When the Son of
man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then
shall he sit upon the throne of his glory." The Bible says when He
comes back all the angels are going to be with Him. Heaven is going to
be completely silent while the second coming of Christ takes place. You
will read that in Revelation 8:1: "And there was silence in
heaven." Completely silent. For every single one of the angels is
coming along with Jesus. You ask, "Why do they come?" Matthew 24:31
answers: "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other." The purpose of the angels is to
help fulfill Jesus' promise: "I come to receive you unto myself."
Mothers that have had their little youngsters torn away from them by
death will have them once again placed in their arms by the angels in
that day. It will be a wonderful day. Families separated will be
reunited by the angels as they hasten to the four corners of the earth
to bring forth the redeemed. Yes, Jesus is going to take all the
righteous with Him when He comes back.
Now notice the sequence pictured here perfectly in I Thessalonians
4:16, 17: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and
the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord
in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." I'd like you to
notice what it says here. It says when Jesus comes back, He will be in
that cloud, of course, and as the cloud nears the earth and stops,
there will be a great shout from His throat. He will cry to those that
are dead, "Awake!" and at that moment the graves of the righteous
all over the world are going to be opened. They will come up. They will
be changed and caught up into that cloud. Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them. Notice the statement,
"to meet the Lord in the air." That is very, very important. Since
the Bible says that, we can be positive of one thing. It means just
that. When the Lord comes back, that cloud will not touch this earth.
He is not going to come down here and walk around. We're going to
meet Him in the air. So you can be positive on the authority of this
Book that Christ is not going to appear suddenly and be walking around
in Los Angeles, or anywhere else. For at His second coming the cloud
does not touch the earth. The redeemed of all ages will meet the Lord
in the air.
Now I want to try in my very feeble way to picture that wonderful,
wonderful reunion there in that cloud. I try to picture how it will be
when the redeemed of all ages enter that wonderful cloud, and there we
are, on our way to the Kingdom of God. I see the redeemed as we fall
down at the feet of Jesus to adore Him and thank Him for the wonderful
gift of His life for you and for me. Then a great song of salvation
swells from that crowd as the redeemed of all ages sing praises to the
Lord Jesus. Joy fills every heart and sweeps over every being. The song
ceases and suddenly someone cries out, "Look!" We look down and see
that the earth seems to be growing smaller and smaller. We then realize
that the great cloud has begun to move and we're going toward the
Kingdom of Heaven. I've tried to picture what it will be like there
in that cloud with Moses-for he will be there-that great man of God
who led the children of Israel out of Egypt with the Lord's help. I
try to picture what it will be like to see Daniel there. I picture
seeing a great, tall man across that cloud and I go over to him and
say, "Crews is my name." He says, "My name is Adam." For he
will be in that cloud, too, on that trip to the Kingdom of God. And
there will be Peter, James, John, and Mary, the mother of Jesus. And,
friends, YOU must be there, every single one of you. What a trip that
will be! Then, finally, somebody calls to our attention a point of
light overhead and we look heavenward. Away off in the distance we see
a spot of indescribable glory. It becomes brighter and brighter, until
suddenly we see bursting forth the beauty and shining glory of the City
of God. I want to tell you, I wouldn't miss that trip for anything,
would you? It is worth everything to be there-everything!
That will be a glorious day for God's people. There isn't a person
listening that doesn't know of a little mound somewhere over on a
hillside, where a loved one is resting. I am sure that all of us can
think of a spot like that. It is with fond memories and deep sadness
that we think of our sleeping loved ones; but if you should be in a
cemetery on that glorious resurrection morning, you'd see that grave
torn all to pieces as the gravestones are tipped over, and the redeemed
of all ages come forth in eternal vigor and youth. All deformities are
left behind. The Bible says at that moment He will change our vile
bodies, and fashion them like unto His own glorious body. People ask,
"How long will it take?" The Bible answers that. I Corinthians
15:52 says, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye." No wonder
Paul said, "Comfort ye one another with these words." But let me
say just this: He is coming "in such an hour as ye think not,"
according to Matthew 24:44. Are you ready? Truly ready?
