Can a good, honest, sane man say this?
Can God say this?
Yes he can, and God gave those words to Jesus to say. Many people
'hate' the good things that Jesus said to do. For example, for those
who support the wars of this world Jesus commanded:
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you," (Mt 5:44; NASB)
Christians who follow Jesus' commands find it difficult many times
because of the persecution from those who don't. But if those
Christians 'endure to the end', they will receive their reward of
salvation.
