Re: Jesus says burn the person who does not accept me
John 15-6:
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is
withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they
are burned.
Amongst others, this verse was responsible for burning people
Hello,
Obviously those who mistaken this verse that way, do not know the
Bible very well. For example, Jesus many times talked symbolically.
And for a while that basically was the main way he preached. Mt 13:34,
"Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say
anything to them without using a parable." (NIV)
Thus when reading that Scripture at John 15:6, a red flag should go up
as to literalness. If it didn't, then that is the fault of those
people, not of the Bible or Jesus.
Sincerely, James

Matthew 25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil (Gr: instrumental
case) and his angels.
The fire wasn't prepared for the Lord to reward the ones who rejected Him,
but for the devil to reward his. You still haven't figured the devil out?

a little child, he shall not enter therein. (Mark 10:15)
