Meeting an old friend in the south of France who is one of the
world's experts on Catharism, we went to a cafe and caught
up with each others' respective lives and countries for a while.
Being rather liberal, he particularly enjoyed the line I told him
was used by "real" Texans to describe George W. Bush:
"All hat, no cattle"
Real Texans support Bush, we are a "Red State" BIG TIME
Then we got to talking about his field of study, and I mentioned
this newsgroup. He was curious so we retired to one of the
cyberstations and I let him read discussions here for a few
minutes. His comment:
"All gnosticism, no gnosis"
Because if any real gnosis gets mentioned, one of the *super gnostics* will
just attack the gnosis, and the individual who dared mention it, so most
won't dare any substance
Cracked me right up, I have to tell you. It took me several weeks
to figure that out, and him only about five minutes...
Just read any thread with a *Super Gnostic* in it, you will know who I am
speaking of

As most of the time, I am not in arg, removing the newsgroups that I *am* in
kinda makes me fail to see your posts...
Kinda like you are going to find yourselves missing *this one* (well, at
least the next one, if you don't re-add *your* newsgroup before responding
:-)
The shoe is now on the other foot (yours)

minutes. His comment:

Cracked me right up, I have to tell you.
Joke is on Unc for mistaking dogmatism for witticism. The
priest he quoted was reciting a two thousand year old
party-line. No surprise the both of them side with the Vatican.
