Remember his feeble attempt to insult Chelsea Clinton by criticizing

least five African-Americans are starting quarterbacks in NFL right
now.)

Limbaugh may or may not be cruel, but this is a flat out distortion:

And his racist musings on whether black men were equipped to play quarterback?

His comments concerned Donovan McNabb, IIRC, and were used by liberal
politicos with an ax to grind to slam Limbaugh. Almost everything he says
is evaluated for spin on whether it can be used against him. Your statement
above is proof, and so is the furor over his comments about Michael J. Fox's
politics ..

Limbaugh may or may not be cruel, but this is a flat out distortion:

He called Chelsea Clinton a "dog" when she was about 12 years old.
This is not a "distortion." He said when Clinton was president that
there now was a dog in addition to a cat living in the White House.
Then, hah, hah, a picture of Chelsea Clinton was shown.
Just for this classy little comment, he is lower than snake spit.

I remember that; the Chelsea bit did happen on Limbaugh's TV show (as
well as on NBC's Saturday Night). It was offensive to all who think
that the children of public figures are not themselves public figures
and deserve time to grow up.
The distortion to which Peatty refers has to do with the present
kerfuffle involving Michael J. Fox.

Exactly. And now he has violated another unwritten rule of common
decency; do NOT hold the symptoms of any disease against anyone.

You must know as well as anyone dealing with MS knows; the drugs do not
always work for these lousy diseases. And I suspect Parkinson's is
like MS and many other diseases: some days are better than others.
Limbaugh has, once again, shown his true colors. He is a nasty piece
of work.

Sylv, Fox has written that he goes off of his medication for effect when
he wants to make a point or ask for research funding. Limbaugh's
criticism of Fox has nothing to do with the disease, but instead with
trying to use the disease as a political guilt trip for the electorate
on the subject of embryonic stem cell research.
BTW, the Michael J. Fox Foundation has funded several projects at Rush
Institute in Chicago. One that is promising after human trials is
insertion of a modified virus into the brain. The virus stimulates the
brain into producing dopamine. This one is going to go from a 12
patient trial to a national one. One that was unsuccessful and did not
get to the human trial stage involved inserting embryonic stem cells
into the brains of rats. The side effect of precancerous tumors
overwhelmed the achieved desired effect of stimulating dopamine
production. That Fox knows that embryonic stem cell research is not a
panacea but that he is presenting it as one makes him a target for
criticism, not that he has Parkinson's.

Limbaugh has, once again, shown his true colors. He is a nasty piece
of work.

Compared to... George Clooney (who wished Chalton Heston would hurry up
and die because of his NRA office) , Alec Baldwin (who wished that mobs
would kill a politician's children and grandchildren because of the
officeholder's antiabortion stance), or who? Al Franken (who
bodyslammed a 70-plus man with two canes at a Democrat rally for booing
a speaker) or who?

WebMD wrote an entire article in response to the words of the Big Fat
Idiot; I've no idea why anyone's giving him that much notice. He's the
same talking-head wanker he's always been. Here's the URL, if anyone's
interested:

Oh, I just noticed all the X-posts -- whoops. That's a very odd
collection -- alt.bible, alt.christian, alt.religion, alt.activism, and
alt.support.mult-sclerosis? No Parkinsons support groups in there. I
guess the original trolling X-poster either wasn't quite *that* cruel,
or somebody took 'em out.
Makes sense, to line up a bunch of "religious" sites to criticize stem
cell research (as opposed to actual medical or scientific ones, of
course), but I'd have thought making fun of the movement disorders
brought on by Parkinson's would be considered a bit less than
"Christian." Oh well. Getting one's *maid* to cop illegal opiate meds
on the streets apparently kept ole Rush from having to undergo any
"shakes and tremors" of his own. When he has a heart attack on the air,
I'll be sure to giggle to myself about how he's faking it -- or maybe
he forgot to take his "medicine" today. Snerk.

and he is fat. Does he know? I think us liberals, have to make an exception
and tell him the truth. How is it that the religious nuts find douche bags
like him to be their
saint.
