Literal Genesis
The Hebrew grammer of Genesis
Is COMPLETELY unknown to those today including you.
You forget the NUMEROUS Hebrew and Greek scholars today, Icon, who
have translated the various versions of the Bible we use now. I have
known probably 20 or 30 Bible translators in my time.
Whatever. I am enough of a scholar to translate the NT for myself when
needed and, while I'm not a Hebrew scholar I'm acquainted with a man who
is fluent in Biblical Hebrew, which, by the by, is NOT all THAT old,
since the whole Torah and Tenach were recompiled by the priests and
prophets of the restoration from earlier sources that were somewhat
divergent (having diverged during the period of the two kingdoms).
But fundamentalist "scholars" are, all too often these days, not SCHOLARS
at all. They are, instead, apologists for a private interpretation,
nothing more. Too bad. Fundamentalism actually had some scholars back
about 100 years ago, but the whole movement has been hijacked by latter-
day neo-Pharisees, many of them functionally illiterate even in English
when that is their native tongue.
Rubbish.
I am talking about Ph Dd, Th Dd M Div scholars who don't use English
translations. My pastors have ALL stood up to preach using NOTHING
more than a Hebrew Old Testament and a Greek New Testament. While you
may labor to translate, these scholars have translated the
translations you and others use today.
Dr. Carpenter, Dr. Pegg, Dr. Culbreth, Dr. Stookey, Dr. Fickett, Dr.
McBirnie, Dr. London, Dr. Baxter, Dr. Thomas... I could go on...

And probably will, ad nauseum. But since YOU cannot even read my plain
English posts for content, why should I think YOU can read ANY
translation of scripture for content?
YOU claim these people all support YOUR views, yet I don't see them in
here trying to tell me that God is a deceiver. They'd probably think
that was blasphemous.
