Mel Gibson vs. "The Jews"
The "Mad Max" and "Braveheart" star says his new Jesus biopic "The Passion"
could never be anti-Semitic because it's historically correct -- a dumb, and
dangerous, claim to make.
An accurate one. According to your logic, why don't
you rewrite what Hitler did to the Jews? Why is it ok
to be historically accurate there and not when it comes
to Christ's crucifixion?
Knowing Tavish' posts, as I haven't seen Mel's play/movie, IF the show
makes it look like ALL the Jews ganged up on Jesus, it isn't
"historically correct".
It was the leaders of the Jews, and some Jewish sects, who were
against Jesus, BUT MOST of the COMMON Jews saw Jesus as THE MIRACLE
worker who they wanted to be their king (Palm Sunday)
