Missing Links Still Missing
"Why is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such
intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely
graduated organic chain; and this is the most obvious and serious
objection which can be urged against the theory(evolution)."
C.R.Darwin, "Origin of the Species", 6th ed, 1972 p. 413
"I fully agree with your comments about the lack of direct illustration of
evolutionary transitions in my book. If I knew of any, fossil or living,
I would certainly have included them....I will lay it on the line-there is
not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument."
C. Patterson, "Darwin's Enigma", 1988, p. 89
Patterson was the senior paleontologist of the British Museum of Natural
History and wrote the book "Evolution".
"The absence of fossil evidence for intermediary stages between major
transitions in the organic design, indeed our inability, even in our
imagination, to construct functional intermediates in many cases, has been
a persistent and nagging problem for gradualistic accounts of evolution."
S.J.Gould. "Evolution Now: A Century After Darwin", 1982, p. 140
The elite of evolution are saying that there are no links showing
evolution to be true. Yet we have millions upon millions of fossils found
to date and still no links. Hard to believe those who say that evolution
is a demonstratable fact, isn't it?
What a fine job you have done of showing your lack of knowledge of
paleontology and your utter lack of integrity. If you had read the
context of any of these quotes, you would know that none of thes men
were supporting your claim.
You are offering just one more piece of evidence that Young Earth
Creationists are not Christians.

It is amazing to me how many times this is uttered (out of context
argument), yet, no one ever seems to attempt to right
the claimant. Why is that?
And don't say, "it isn't my job to educate you."

Sometimes, people need to be educated.
There have been many efforts made to educate creationists. Most of them
have been referred to www.talkorigins.org or other science oriented
websites. Others have been referred to textbooks, or even, in the case
of Gould, the original article.
Creationists have shown that they are enemies of science. They have
shown that they do not care if they have misquoted or taken a sentence
out of context. They have a religious agenda that they have shown they
will lie for. I will always work with a Christian who has been misled by
Young Earth Creationists into thinking that there is a problem with the
theory of evolution. I see no reason to waste my time on someone whose
intent is to continue to lie and refuses to consider the possibility
that his theological claims have no impact on the actual evidence of
science.
This particular one has already shown that he will not try to learn
anything about science -- that is why I no longer try to educate him. He
is proudly ignorant and proudly tells lies about science and bears false
witness against scientists. This particular one is quote-mining without
any evidence that he comprehends what he is writing.

Indeed. It looks like the Patterson quote in particular is most
egregious. The 'watertight' phrase actually refers to a conversation
about 'direct parentage', i.e.; which fossil was the direct ancestor of
another. Patterson was admitting that there is no way to tell with
certainty which was the parent species of any given fossil. That
conversation is completely missing from this quote.
Looks to me like "IknowHimDoYou" is cribbing from the old "Quote Book",
or perhaps from the "Revised Quote Book".
