Hello !

Can anyone tell me useful literature regarding purgatory?
Thanks !

There is lots of literature on purgatory, however none "useful". If
purgatory was "useful" Christ would have made a mention of it, don't you
think? If not Christ, then perhaps Paul and if not Paul, then perhaps
someone else. But unfortuntely that word doesn't appear anywhere in the
Bible, so it must be pretty unimportant.
The most important and useful literature are the words of Christ
Himself. They are also the most difficult to understand and therefore the
most thought-provoking. In fact, your salvation is dependent upon you
understanding His words. There can be hardly anything more "useful" than
that, I would think. See below

PARABLES
Matt 13:10: And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou
unto them in parables?
11: He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know
the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12: For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more
abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he
hath.
13: Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they looking see not;
and listening they hear not, neither do they understand.
14: And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By
listening ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and looking ye shall see,
and shall not perceive:
15: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see
with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their
heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Mk:4:34: But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they
were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Mt:13:34-35: All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in
parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in
parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the
foundation of the world.
