Re: Question
The truth is that some of the prophecies contained in the bible have yet to
happen. Obvious example, Jesus has not yet returned to the earth in His own
physical form and definiately not in the same way that he said (for those of
you claiming to be Him) since He Himself said that he would return in the
same way that he left (at the mount of Olives)

Hello,
To "return in the same way that he left" leaves some room for
interpretation. If you look at the account closely, it doesn't
emphasize the mountain that he left from, but rather his appearance
when far up into the sky. Ac 1:11,
""Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the
sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will
come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."" (NIV)
And what was the "way" that they saw Jesus go up into Heaven?
Vs 9,
"After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a
cloud hid him from their sight." (NIV )
Yes, Jesus was hidden behind a cloud. They could not physically see
him. And suggests how his return would be: invisible. People would not
physically see him.
But what about the meaning of Re 1:7 concerning everyone seeing his
return? Just ask if you interested.
Sincerely, James
