Trigger, you cannot expect a reasoned answer from a xtian because they
rely heavily on "faith". This leaves a much lower emphasis on reason
which results in great big holes in xtianity that you could drive a
freight train through. I went through this process of examining
xtianity 3 years ago (being a xtian myself at the time) and I came
away with the realisation that it is inconsistant, contradictory and
incomplete in its message. Basically, a primitive fear based
religion. I'm afraid Trigger has summarised the answers that you are
likely to get very well and in fact if you do hear anything
different, I would like to know about it as well.

You are looking for the wrong things in the wrong place. Read the
Mandate of Christ below, it says nothing about reasoning, logic, objective
evidence, proof etc. etc. etc. it speaks about love, and love is about as
far removed from logic and reason as it can get. Yet love makes the world go
round, not logic nor reason. Only love can make you happy and joyful, and it
is the most powerful motivator to do good known to man. Neither logic nor
reason will do any of that.
Admit already, that you are in religious NGs because in your heart you
know, that here and in scripture you expect to find the truth that sets you
free.

THE MANDATE OF JESUS
**Jesus in Lk:4:18: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind.
**Jesus in Mk:2:17: When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are
whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to
call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
**Jesus in Lk:9:56: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives,
but to save them.
**Jesus Mt:18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
**Jesus in Jn:12:47: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge
him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
**Jesus in Mt:11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my
yoke is easy and my burden is light."

You are looking for the wrong things in the wrong place.

===>"Wrong place"???
So, you admit you discard the "Old Testament".

Read the
Mandate of Christ below, it says nothing about reasoning, logic, objective
evidence, proof etc. etc. etc.

===>So, you admit that all of those things are absent
from the mind of believers like you?

it speaks about love, and love is about as
far removed from logic and reason as it can get.

===>As YOU are "about as
far removed from logic and reason as it can get."

Yet love makes the world go round, not logic nor reason.

===>That is stupid, Sheepherder.
Read a book on physics and astronomy.

Only love can make you happy and joyful,

===>More nonsense.
You are actually making feeble (-minded) attempts at
REASONING, by golly! However,
lots of stupid people like you are "made happy and joyful"
by doping themselves or getting drunk, "spiritually" like you,
or chemically like others.
Insane asylums are full of "happy and joyful" people! -- L.

You bet your life it don't, steer well clear of that kind of thing.
Use an all encompassing confusing state of 'love', that will explain
everything, but only to superstitious nuts, with no common sense.

it speaks about love, and love is about as

You bet your bottom dollar it is!

Yet love makes the world go

I got free when I threw away the belief
