But more important the source from which the calorie content on labels
is taken do have them. For bulk items such as flour etc. the web has
many sources by which to quickly to know same.


As do many contemporary cook books, at least in the US.

Just as the FDA checks to make sure that pharma measures out each dose
of medication in each pill/capsule and will not rely on just that it
looks like the right amount, we would be wise to measure out the dose
(ie amount) of food we eat each day.
It is not by coincidence that weight measure is the right kind of unit
measure for **both** medications and food. Indeed, there is no such
thing as coincidence because everything that the world would ascribe
to chance happens by GOD (Proverbs 16:33). HE is the Author of all
reality including the alternate ones.
